Onehunga Community Library was opened in December 2002.

Story

We are a medium sized library with a community focus. We offer a great selection of material, free internet and computer use, friendly staff and wonderful free events such as Storytimes and Wriggle and Rhume.
We'd love to meet you, so come in any time. :)

One of the best library. Amazing caring and friendly staff. We loved attending the kids market today with free face painting, free movie and pop corns. Kids absolutely loved it. Thank you so much to all the staff members and everyone involved
The library is very huge spacious with good welcoming staff. The have seating area in different corners and free wifi assess and computer service too. Peace environment to study and do laptop work.good outside view too
This is another library that I use when I'm in the Onehunga area, normally this coincides with a meal at Everybody Eats Onehunga. Spacious library with ample charging stations around. Car parks all around the building with an elevator for those in need, very wheelchair and elderly friendly. Oh right there also is the Onehunga Bus Depot if you use the public transport.
Not as new as some of the libraries, still a good facility.nCool & quiet today, good place to get some paperwork done. Still a great place to take the children over the break.
Visited the library a few months back from down south ....great place and friendly staff ..I worked in the same building in 1985/ 86 ..Office Products Centre back then and the Onehunga Council was upstairs brought back some memories ..certainly has changed!!
