It’s a really good place to check books and magazines. The building is nice and looks new. There is always a place to sit and read. It’s friendly to homeless people, so it’s common to see them using some seats. The smell can be a bit uncomfortable.nIt’s also a good place to print files at a very good price. The language group activities they do are excellent. The staff is very friendly and excellent

This spacious area provides numerous desks for reading, along with a wide range of books and materials. It’s look quite outside, but lively inside.

What an amazing place for the community, not only am I on my third book first two books were poems, third book ..full circle-jenny-may Clarkson and loving it, but also love n enjoy the ..Sunday 2-4pm community drawing group.nThank you Auckland Central library for giving me a space to be creative.

Auckland Central City Library is world-class. They truly understand how libraries are a place of solace and comfort for some of the most vulnerable people in society - including people in homelessness. The library explores the potential of libraries to spread ideas and develop skills.nnIt’s as if a library employee decided to go rogue and implement all their ideas.nnThey have an area where you can eat non-hot food;nA roster of movies playing on a screen, with seating area;nA maker space where you can use a 3D printer;nAn entire wall of zines.

Whoever this lady is, she is very hostile, unfriendly, unhelpful and rude! I just needed to use the Auckland City Library services, and she asked me what for? When I told her, she said the services are unavailable. I asked when will it be available, she said abruptly “next year”. Then I had to ask, when next year. I asked what is her name, and she said she can’t give it to me. What a horrible experience and a waste of my time. If she is not working on that services desk, she shouldn’t be asking why I am needing those services. Regardless, she shouldn’t be working in customer services because she doesn’t know about service.
