One of a Kind Apartments offer unique, eco-friendly, award winning serviced apartments in Canberra, Australia unlike any other. Our apartments are family owned and run, and provide a distinctive, urban eco-tourist experience.

We have six apartments all eclectically and artistically styled on different cities. Whether you wish to visit San Francisco, Shanghai, Kyoto, Paris, Mexico City or Yogyakarta, we can take you there.

We are located in a quiet and secluded street just minutes drive from the heart of Canberra. Our fully furnished, serviced apartments are spacious, generously appointed and can comfortably accommodate both individual travellers and family groups alike.

Keyless keypad entry allows you to arrive at any hour and provides absolute security with a minimum of fuss.

Art is evident throughout the apartment complex and we pride ourselves on our art of hospitality. The apartments are all eclectically and stylishly decorated and furnished which guests will find both exciting and relaxing. We stayed at the One of a Kind Apartments for six weeks, and we were so pleased with our decision to stay there! The apartment was VERY clean, the grounds lovely, and all the staff were friendly and attentive. We also loved being to close to so many great, affordable restaurants! We would definitely return if we found ourselves in Canberra again!!!
My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at One of a Kind Apartments while visiting Canberra's museums and cultural sites. The apartment was a great base for exploring the museums and restaurants/shopping downtown, but also allowed us to feel like "locals" when we wanted to grab some groceries & a bottle of wine at the Woolworth's around the corner and take advantage of the apartment's kitchen. So much nicer than being in a cramped hotel room! We stayed in the Shanghai room, and absolutely loved the carefully chosen books & artwork. There has clearly been a lot of thought put into both the decor and the environmentally conscious aspects of the building, which made for a special experience. I have already recommended the apartments to friends heading to Canberra for both business and leisure!
Found One of a Kind on the internet and booked directly with the owner. The flat was exquisite, pretty, spacious and clean. Off the main road so very quiet. Have stayed in Canberra many times in different places, but have finally found my 'home away from home'! Thank you One of a Kind.
"one of a kind" alright. Not of my kind though. One the plus side, it was clean, and the living area is spacious. On the minus side.... there is no Telstra mobile coverage inside the unit I was in. There were tea bags, but no milk to add to your tea, and when alerted to the lack of milk, the managers apologised but made no offer to get some for me or even suggest they would reimburse me if I went to the shop and bought my own. Previous reviews have noted the poor condition of the pillows 2 years ago and I would say they still haven't been replaced. The cutlery and crockery is a motley collection that leaves you feeling like you're selecting out of an Op Shop. The foam under the ironing board cover has long since dissipated down from thin to non-existent, so you are basically ironing on the metal frame of the board. The towels felt old, there is no luxury here. I thought I would do some washing, but alas no dryer to dry things overnight - they might like the eco credentials of air drying don't we all, but that should be the guest's call. Sometimes we need the conveniences to fit our schedules. There were no tissues. The wine glasses made me think I was back in the 70s too. Ridiculous, small, op shop style. The covers on the bed felt well worn and aged. I've stayed in a lot of places over the years, and this is not the worst, but the others were much more budget priced so I expected it. The price point for this apartment was at a level you'd expect some luxury and some quality finishes, both of which were sadly lacking. Given that it is also marketed as an AirBNB you would think they would have some breakfast cereals in the pantry, but they didn't. Never mind, there was no milk. Think I'm making it up? I took photos. So many small things could be done to change this from poor to excellent, and maybe the owners/managers might accept that they should pick up their game. Overall an enormous disappointment, and not one I would wish to revisit personally, not would I suggest anyone inflict upon themselves.
Very good facilities in good location. Beds were comfortable but pillows were not the best. Shower water pressure was pretty bad as well but kitchen was well appointed and equipped and we had everything we needed for our stay. We would stay there again but bring our own pillows.
We stayed at One of a Kind Apartments during the winter school break in July when we visited Canberra with my family with two kids. We stayed in a two bedroom unit with two baths and three toilets. The room is essentially a two bedroom town house with a garden, which is relatively new and very well maintained. It is a family owned enterprise, so someone is always around to take care of your needs. We had great conversations with Barbara and Stu, which made our stay all the more welcome and enjoyable. The location is also very convenient, assuming you drive. The Apartments have a secured car park in the basement. It is located in a leafy neighbourhood of Dickson, an inner north suburb just west of Northbourne Avenue, and is in walking distance to the Dickson shopping area which has some excellent Asian food restaurants and a Woolworths. We bought our groceries there or had couple of takeaways from the famous Asian Noodle House on Woolley Street. We will definitely come back here for our next stay in Canberra.
Great serviced apartments. The place was huge, clean and modern. Stayed here with work colleagues. Close to shops and great restaurants. Rooms are comfortable. Off street parking. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Comfortable spacious apartment, leafy suburb close to city centre. Prompt and helpful service by email phone and text, and good 'green' awareness with waste disposal, products and facilities without compromising quality.
