Bought this 50-pack of pens from Officeworks Southport thinking it was such a good deal… turns out it was not nnOut of the entire tub, only 2 pens actually work—and even those are very faint. The rest don’t write at all. I understand it was only $1, but I still expected at least most of them to function.nnIt’s honestly kind of funny at this point, but also really disappointing. In my opinion, this is truly one of the best Officeworks locations around. They have everything you could need, and their customer service is absolutely top-notch.nnI especially want to mention an employee named James. Even though he had a prior basketball injury, he still showed up during the busy pre-Christmas rush to help out all the customers and support his team. He was incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely honest in his advice, and super friendly. I waited for him to finish with another customer, and it was well worth it. He really made my experience smooth and pleasant, and I’m genuinely grateful for his help. I highly recommend this location to everyone!
I just wanted to share the wonderful experience I had with Tahlia at Officeworks Southport. I came in to return some stationery, and what could have been a quick, simple transaction turned into something genuinely meaningful thanks to her kindness.nNot only did Tahlia handle the return smoothly and professionally, but she also noticed that I wasn’t having the best day. I’d been feeling pretty low, one of those days where everything seems heavy and even the smallest tasks feel overwhelming. Without me even saying much, she picked up on it. She spoke to me with such warmth and patience, and for a few minutes, she made the world feel a little lighter.nIt’s rare to meet someone who goes beyond their job description just to make sure another person feels okay. Tahlia didn’t rush me, didn’t treat me like just another customer, and didn’t make me feel silly for being upset over little things. She reminded me that there are people out there who genuinely care, even in the middle of a busy day at a retail store.nThank you, Tahlia. You didn’t just help me return stationery, you helped me pull myself together. Officeworks Southport is lucky to have someone like you.
I ordered Bingo water bottles online but instead received Bluey one. I contacted customer service and spoke to a very kind and helpful lady, who checked the stock and confirmed that Officeworks Southport had the correct item available. Based on this, I went to the store to resolve the issue.nnUnfortunately, when I arrived, I was served by a staff member named Jacqueline, and the experience was extremely disappointing. While she appeared friendly and polite to other customers, particularly those who seemed Australian or Western, her attitude toward me was noticeably different. She greeted me with a long face, and when I explained my situation, her response made me feel as though I was simply “another problem” rather than a valued customer.nnShe did not ask for any details such as my order number until I proactively offered it. Even then, she did not acknowledge me but simply stared without providing guidance on what I needed to do next. She told me to go and locate the product myself, and when I explained that I was unsure where it was, I politely asked if she could assist. Her only response was, “I can’t leave here, I need to stay here,” despite having another coworker present at the counter.nnThis experience left me feeling singled out and treated unfairly compared to other customers. I believe all customers deserve to be treated with equal respect and professionalism, and I hope this feedback can be taken seriously.
I’m honestly disappointed every time I deal with the printing department.nnI have ordered the exact same artwork from them multiple times, but the colours come out different almost every time. This time, when I raised the issue, I was told to make my artwork brighter or adjust the red tones so it would match the previous print. The problem is that I am using the exact same artwork file as before, so the issue is clearly not with my design.nnTo make sure I wasn’t imagining it, I asked them to print it again. The result was two prints of the same artwork that came out in completely different colours. That alone shows there is an issue with their printing consistency.nnWhat frustrated me most was the lack of knowledge and accountability from customer service. Instead of suggesting I change my artwork, they should be checking their printers, calibration, ink levels, or whatever is causing the colour differences in the first place.
