recently spent some time at this Library while waiting for my friend, and I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely this library is. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, making it a perfect place to read, study, or simply relax. One delightful feature that caught my eye was a half-finished puzzle on one of the tables. It appeared to be a community puzzle, inviting visitors to help complete it. This thoughtful addition creates a sense of community and gives people a fun and engaging activity to work on together.nnThe library is well-organized, with a wide selection of books and resources. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are also comfortable seating areas and ample workspace, making it a great spot for solitary. It is a fantastic place to spend time, whether you're an avid reader, a student, or just looking for a quiet place to unwind. The community puzzle is a charming touch that adds to the library's welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone in the area!
Such a perfect place for reading a studying. Great collection of books of all genre. Most of the popular magazine are available there. Very spacious interior and seating arrangements. This library has all the facility you could hope from a modern library. Lots of parking space available around the library all the time. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. The location is easily accessible by own vehicle or public transport, there’s a bus stop out front. I really appreciate the way they build this library to get a lot of natural sunlight into the building.
Great place with computers which are up to date. Friendly staff. My go to place for a quiet few hours to get work done in peace and quietness.
I came to read a book for an hour. It's fairly silent, unlike some other libraries and so great for studying or reading. Place feels clean and modern. Come if you like bean bags!
I was targeted and discriminated against by this library during Victoria’s medical apartheid and refused entry at a gestapo like vaccine checkpoint set up where a female demanded to see my papers.nnI explained to her that my private health information was private and therefore none of her business. However like any coward operating under a totalitarian system she outsourced responsibility to others and insisted that the library must comply with the current tyrannical vaccine mandates imposed by the Victorian government. “Just following orders.” Sound familiar? This of course occurred long after the vaccines proved ineffective at preventing transmission undermining any possible argument that this was justified in the name of the “common good” which has always been a pretext for authoritarianism by the waynnThis lady suggested that I could be served out the back if I told her what I wanted. I asked her whether she knew about how black people in America during the 20th century were subjected to this exact dehumanising treatment. Surprisingly she acknowledged she did, nodded her head and looked ashamed expressing empathy as to my situation apologising for the inconvenience as if she wasn’t able to just let me past like any other person.nnDespite this ordeal having happened a long time ago it really just brings to light how easily individuals can be programmed into a state of irrational political servitude by government with a little bit of fear of what may come through disobedience, top down instilled nationalistic pride and a bit of hysteria all mixed together.,nnI didn’t have Covid, was a threat to no one and it wouldn’t have taken any personal sacrifice on her part to just let me in.nnI have no idea who this person is and don’t particularly care. I’m just dismayed and disillusioned that a library, the place which features copies of books explaining the content and dangerous tyrannies of old would so easily fall victim to one.nnI must admit it’s a very late review but it doesn’t look like much has changed in such a way that would prevent this kind of thing from happening again.nnViva la libertad
