About

Woodgate Beach Tourist Park offers camping, caravan & self-contained cabin/villa and beach house accommodation on the stunning Fraser coastline.

Story

Welcome to Paradise!

Woodgate Beach is situated along 16 kilometres of breathtaking coastline approximately 350 kilometres north of Brisbane. The tourist park itself is located on the Esplanade and is nestled between a stunning white sandy beach and 23000 hectares of national park. Our unique position makes the NRMA Woodgate Beach Holiday Park one of the most popular holiday destinations on the Fraser Coast.

The park caters for those wishing to enjoy a tranquil beachside holiday where you can relax, unwind and experience nature at its best. The park is a sanctuary for holidaymakers and wildlife alike! As you stroll through the 8 acres of landscaped grounds you'll discover an abundance of flora and fauna including kangaroos, black cockatoos, lorikeets, poincianas, bougainvillea, eucalypts, pine trees etc.

The beach is protected by Fraser Island providing safe swimming in the calm ocean waters all year round. Enjoy the stunning sunrises or watch the moon rise over the ocean in the evening. Fall to sleep each night listening to the sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore.

"NRMA Woodgate Beach Holiday Park, located in a quiet coastal town just a four hour drive from Brisbane and 40 minutes away from Bundaberg. Nestled between Burrum Coast National Park and a 16km stretch of beach, whose calm subtropical waters are protected from swell by nearby Fraser Island. Our park is the gateway to the Southern Great Barrier Reef, a crystal blue paradise. From snorkelling in world-famous reefs to sharing a delicious, post-fishing lunch at our on-site cafe, there’s something to delight everyone. Deluxe 3 or 4 bedroom beach houses, glamping safari tents, or powered camp sites, there's something to suit everyone."

Really nice park. Great location across from the beach. Camped here with a large tent, car and trailer for a couple of nights. Plenty of room on large sites with trees around for shade and screening. Nice amenities, some new some older but all clean and suitable. Good little cafe at the entrance to the park for lunch and coffees. Dog friendly check conditions. Would definitely stay again.
I cannot rave enough of our stay at this fantastic pet friendly Holiday Park. The staff and locals were very friendly, our powered camp site was a great size as plenty of room, facilities were close, clean and no codes or keys required. The location was perfect as only short stroll to one of the most gorgeous beaches I’ve seen! Totally recommend if you want a quiet and pet friendly place to camp as we will definitely be back!
Beautiful park, friendly staff. We stayed in a safari tent in the back corner of the park which was very romantic, quiet and private. Loved the bathtub on the back patio. Slept on the bed the first night which was so hard that we had sore backs in the morning. We spent the next 3 nights in the kids alcove bed which was slightly better. Woodgate is one of the most relaxing and peaceful places we have stayed at and would love to go again. Softer mattress maybe
Rang Jenny to book a night. She was super friendly and welcoming! I must admit camping amongst others is not our thing but when road trippin you take what you can get. We have never stayed in a caravan park with so many people and at 10pm, you felt like nobody else was there! So wonderfully quiet! Amenities were clean and site was well kept.
Thanks the park was so nice. The karaoke on Friday night at the camp kitchen was great. Was a great night and meet many travelers just like ourselves. Good to see so many joining in and enjoying themselves. LanaRooms: 5/5
Love this place! I have to be honest though, if you're a homebody or a young person, especially someone who uses devices a lot, it can seem a little scary at first! But man, after a few days you can fully relax in this place : Loved the nature around where we stayed, loved going down to the amazingly long beach down the road. It was so comfortable and such a treat. Depends on weather and also the work they do with the ploughing sometimes, can get a bit loud, especially with the windows open. It is quite unlikely for it to rain there <3 Very relaxing, really enjoyed as a breather between travelling <3
Woodgate Caravan Park is well established across the road from the beach. Showers were nice and hot and toilets and grounds were tidy and clean. Great cafe -food and coffee were good. Would be quieter outside school holiday time.
First and foremost the staff are so attentive down to earth and very accomadating. Our site was very spacious but needs some TLC but other than that amazing two days very relaxing. It reminds me of how South West Rocks used to be. Beach is so picturesque worth the drive. Thank You.
Excellent Van Park, we had 5 night at Woodgate Caravan Park and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Good sized sites, plenty of shade, clean facilities, friendly and helpful staff, close to everything. Heaps to do if you enjoy the outdoors, kayaking, swimming and bike riding, nature walks, great little boardwalk over a lagoon with loads of wildlife, national park with lots of bush walks, lovely cafe with good coffee and curtsey buses to both the pub and club where thete good food is to be found. Definitely for us.
Been staying here at Christmas for the last three years. facilities a great, staff super friendly and helpful and facilities are always clean. highly recommend staying here.
