The ladies at reception were awesome. We stayed for 3 nights in the pet free area. Sites were generous and well kept and a short stroll across the road to the beach, 400 metres from cafes and restaurants. Unfortunately the cleaning in the amenities block has let them down. For an expensive stay of $220 for 3 nights, the floor tiles need to be scrubbed as soap scum is building up. The hot water in the showers started off well then slowly cooled down - and I don't take a long shower! As it is a council operated park, probably nothing will come of the reviews but I don't feel there is value for money here.
This caravan park is nice and close to the beach, the pricing is a little over the top considering what you get. But this the same along the Sunshine Coast. Off peak is best as the rowdiness of school holidays is just over the top.
Dirty Caravan ParknnFilthy Kitchen by the Pool - Fridge - dirty, moldy, smelling, not clearing out the fridge. BBQ - Dirty for days, no hot plates, no cooking facility, only 1 sink, countertops dirty, oily and sticky. Saw a cockroach running under the fridge. Benches and tables were dirty. Kettles were dirty and 1 of the kettles in the closed kitchen had a spider living in it. Rubbish bin in the closed kitchen was overflowing and smelly. Plastic chairs in the kitchen were filthy and must have come from a mechanics smoko room!nnCampsite was next door to a construction site - very noisy. Also the campsite was too stoney with hardly any grass. There is damage to our ground sheet of the tent!nnDid put in a complaint about cleanliness and got a reply that they will get the cleaners to clean the kitchen and the areas but only cleaned the BBQ and nothing else was done.nnWould NOT recommend this caravan park at all.
Very dissapointing .here for a week children breaking bike,skateboard rules on footpaths and their parents happy to watch. Great spot for families looking for a cheap semi permanent home. Not for us. Property seems to be operated from a desk with little to no campground presence.
Great park unless your placed in the dog friendly area and don't notice the smell of dog urine.nMost owners in the dog area seem to have two dogs and walk them the minimum distance to pee with the fragrant experience increasing follow a rain shower.
