We booked on line after seeing a promotion for pay for 3 days and stay for 4. This suited us we were here for work for 4 days with our motor home . I went ahead and booked …. What I thought was the deal. 2 days into our stay we received a txt to advise of the check out time the next day . My husband went to the office to discuss this as we still had our last free day to stay.nStaff said that it looks like we missed a step when booking and didn’t add the promotion code. She said that she would ask the manager.nnLater I had a call from the same staff member advising that the promotion had closed and that we would have to pay for the additional day !!nnI asked to speak to the manager, at which she said that she could give me an email address to send my question. I sent the email advising of my situation, thinking that common sense and old fashioned customer service would prevail.nnCrickets …. So I popped on after work & spoke to another young lady which said the same thing , with no empathy or compassion for our situation. She said that we’d have to pay $71 for the extra night if we wanted to stay.nI asked if she could offer us a discount considering what has happened, the answer was no , again no empathy at all.nnIt’s ridiculous that these big chains can carry on like this, sucking us into their online deals and not being accountable when the processes are not simple for the customer. There is absolutely no room for error , we are all human and it’s bound to happen.nnThe park itself is a great spot , but thats all that is on offer here. I won’t be back.
Cotton Tree Beach is awesome! We always have fun there and I was lucky to get a booking, the place is always fully booked and no wonder. Right next to the river and the beach. Restaurants are close and it's a small walk from town. The amenities are clean and so are the camp sites. The staff is always friendly and helpful. You must visit this camping spot! We had a powered tent site.
We camped close to the beach and it was awesome to hear the waves all night. Great park, very clean, no mosquitoes or sandflies where we camped in the tent sites. The amenities were always clean, great hot showers with plenty of water pressure. We went during the week and it was great, fairly quiet and lots of room. Will definitely come back again, we had a great time.
Stayed at the holiday park in our caravan during October long weekend was very busy the amenities were clean. With the river at one end and the beach at the other and the weather was great that is where everyone was down on the water. We went down and swam and played in the sun for a couple of hours great to relax. Next time we will book earlier and ask for a water front view.nAcross the road a few cafes, shops and a butchers all walking distance. Had dinner at the club near by nice club and great food.
If I could give 0 star rating I would.nWe had booked to go our first visit 13 Feb however Wed 11/2 morning, extreme weather warnings for SEQ were forecast for the weekend from Thursday night onward. I called Wed 11/2 to try and change dates. The first phone call attempt I was on hold for over an hour then was cut off, only on the 4th attempt did someone eventually answer the phone. Explaining my concern of the forecasted extreme weather situation, I asked to change the dates. I was told without hesitation that cancellation policy had to be done 7 days prior to stay. I advised the person that I was not cancelling the booking paid for in full I just wanted to change the dates as the warnings were for extreme storms, flash flooding and strong winds and we would prefer not to be in a tent during this event! There was absolutely no understanding and was told no change of date was possible. Furthermore if we did go that it would be our decision and the that the Holiday Park would accept no responsibility for damage or injury. Obviously we did not want to be in a tent during extreme weather conditions so we did not go. Needless to say, we never got to go, but will certainly never be visiting.
