Excellent place after it has had rain Water clear and flowing. Perfect for swimming and picnics. 20 to 25 mins walk in.

Fun place for a day hike to the top. It's a hike for the adventuresome and energetic types. The path is rough and not clearly demarcated in places. From 2/3rds up the hike becomes a bouldering experience. It's dangerous when it's wet. Well worth the view of the biggenden ranges. Camping down the base of the mountain is worth doing. Facilities include two shelters with a table. Tank water (for washing), a toilet block and a couple of fire pits. We camped here overnight without being bothered by anyone.

Utopia rock pools were amazing It's a bit of a hike from the car park and the rock face where the pools are can be pretty steep so unless you're sure footed I wouldn't attempt it. There were 3 main pools and the water temperature was devine, very cool for a hot day. We took a couple of pool noodles for the kids as the pools are quite deep in places and the rock water slide definitely kept them busy. There aren't any amenities there it's all bush so we did a loo stop in Bigenden and stocked up on goodies before we went up. Take lots of water, lunch and sunscreen and thongs or something for your feet as the rocks get hot. Great experience! We'll be back 😃
