NRMA car servicing South Strathfield was officially opened by Olympic swimming great and former NRMA director Dawn Fraser on Monday 18th of August 2008.

NRMA car servicing South Strathfield is a full service mechanical workshop that caters for all your car servicing and repair needs. Very well run service centre. Staff were courteous and explained as necessary. Location is convenient for drop off and pickup, located next to the M90 bus route which goes direct to Strathfield Station. The price was very reasonable for the work done. And they even give the car a complimentary wash.

Tried to tell me that my gearbox needed replacing after not properly diagnosing the issue. They didn’t even take my car into the shop! It sat outside on their driveway for 2 days before they called me. Then they just expected me to allow them to tow it for disposal without asking what I wished to do with my car! I took my car to an Auto Transmission Mechanic, and the problem was fixed! 

On the other hand. NRMA roadside assistance was great help with getting me out of a sticky situation with my broken down car. Too bad that this service centre ruined my experience with the NRMA.

I took my car in for a service here a few weeks ago. The service was a bit more expensive than the corner mechanic and as expected they "found" an expensive part of the car that needed replacing. 

However, after a few weeks of driving my car I know that they've actually done their job properly. For one, the air filter for the air con was actually replaced... A filter that I told 2 other places to replace but never did. These guys are professional and I'll certainly be back.

When I was picking up my car I was actually amazed by how clean their shop floor was... Some of their staff were busy vacuuming / polishing the floor!

Update for Sept 2017: Service still good. Still recommend this place!

I have taken the car here a few times and the service is usually quite good. The base pricing is quite competitive but if they find something (which they invariably do) parts and labour get quite expensive. The mechanics do give you a call to discuss. 

The service slipped on my recent visit, a complimentary car wash was on the invoice however the car wasn’t washed, actually dirtier than when I put it in. The service needs to be there especially as you aren’t the cheapest going around
