SEVEN. Freaking. Months Central District Smash Repairs got the job to replace my car's boot lid through NRMA insurance. Here's my experience with them: - The person looking after the job would "be back later in the afternoon" every time I called. - They never returned my calls. - The only way to get in touch was to ask NRMA to leave a message to call me back. - Work did not even start until they'd had the vehicle for five months. - Lack of spare parts could not have been used as an excuse - it was a very common model well supported by enthusiasts. - They left the car with a third party repairer for several weeks, only picking it up once they were threatened with storage fees. - By the time the car was returned, the rego was due and the battery had died from disuse. - My car's boot is now leaky and mouldy. Under no circumstances should you ever consider using this company for vehicle repair work.Services: Painting
I was referred to them by my insurance company - sloppy service, they took close to 3 months to fix my front bumper. I tried to follow up everytime and was told to call back later or someone would call me but nobody did. Given some stressful it was without a car during Easter holiday, I'm not impressed at all
I picked up my car today after 5 days of repairs and have no complaints. Maher gave good service, the work was done to a high standard, and the car was cleaned inside and out. I was sent here by my insurer, but if I ever had to get a private job done I'd have no problem bringing my car here.
I am very happy with the quality of repairs to my car and the the fantastic condition it came back to me - fully washed & as new. A special thank you, to Kim & Mehaer for their friendly & outstanding customer service, from arranging cab hire to car rental hire, this was already arranged on my arrival of dropping off my car. Very happy customer!
My insurer Coles recommended Central District Smash Repairs after I'd managed to scrape the passenger side of my near new car on a nearby truck. I was concerned by a couple of negative reviews but found their work to be excellent and I'm very happy with the result. There was a problem getting some parts imported car, new model but I was kept updated and once all parts were in hand the job was quickly completed.
I just wanted to share my experience with Central Districts Smash Repairs. I have to say they deserve every one of the 5 stars that I rated them. The lovely Kim H looked after me from the start, keeping me in the loop on the progress of repairs to my car. But she then went over and above when she assisted me by picking me up from where I dropped off my hire car and then took me back to the smash repairs to pick up my car. I commend her for her professional and personal approach to her job - thank you so very much Kim. My car is back to normal and looks shiny and new after it was washed and vacuumed. I didnt get the name of the manager who walked me to my car but a huge thank you to you also as you detailed the repairs that took place. I couldn't be happier with the service and highly recommend Central Districts Smash Repairs. And then a week later today 17 January, I was able to speak with Michael who very kindly investigated a noise that had developed with my car since the repairs were done - he very kindly drove with me and in a very short space of time the problem was fixed. First class service - thank you Michael and Kim H of course!
I had a minor damage to car, call them up, described the case and sent the photos. Soon after I received a call with a rough estimate to fix the damages. I took the car and the team is very courteous, professional and workmanship is beyond excellent. Thank you for helping me.
Avoid at all costs. Do your research especially if you're female. Rude, and extremely lazy people. Even the receptionist won't greet you when you walk in. My car had been back three times before I gave up and took it to my dealer to fix the issue....turns out the rattle in the front was my whole engine loosely flapping around under the bonnet; none of the screws had been fastened to factory standard plus other stuff. Had, and still have paint issues. They don't use new parts, they patch up holes in rear bumpers on a 6month old car and tell you it's "new" even though the paint is slicing off and all cracked coincidently in the same spot that the hole used to be - it doesn't take a genius to look under the car to see the pathetic patch work. They even cracked my front bumper upon installing and that was about the only time they were nice...but that's because they can't even do a simple bumper installation and the suckers had to get me a new one. Just don't go here. It's not worth it. Find a repairer who will do genuine and recommended repairs for your model car. Oh and don't mind all the filthy cigarette butts out the front from old mate chain smoker. PS, I think even the NRMA have dropped their cheap services for smash repairs.
