An unexpected combination of a country pub feel though it is a short drive from the centre of Auckland. The main building is old and historic (by NZ standards) and on a sunny day the grounds, with the outdoor tables and umbrellas, are a great option. Inside there are the typical bars and dining of a pub. The food and drinks were generously sized and tasted fine. Service was a bit slow, they seemed really busy, but friendly enough and not intrusive. Basically, this is the real thing not an imitation.

Choices galore; cosy wee bars, sports bar and huge grassy outdoor areas. No matter what setting you're looking for, there is a good you'll find it here. Super friendly staff with a great range of drinks available. Food is good too and comes out the kitchen quickly.

Great pub with lots of options, good inexpensive food, plenty of parking and seating inside and out. Umbrellas over outdoor tables great for sitting outdoors in the summer and relaxing with friends.

Nice outdoor area. Pity about the car park being in the way. Good food but pricey pints!
