Nomads Cairns Hostel

Extremely disappointed!!! ☹️as you would b with a bare concrete floor not nice. Really old innerspring bed and wobbly bunks.Everything is ancient and grotty. Just thrown together, Horrible! No actual patio for your room just everyones entrance pathway. Definitely NOT a home away from home. NO Comforts here. I was CHARGED $175 for walking in feeling the bed with my hands, and walking straight back downstairs to let the nice lady know I would not be staying. 😡😤 STUNG BAD!!!!

Great place to stay. Light on your pocket. Free shuttle services run from hostel to city & vice - versa. Staff is helpful & supportive. After checking out in morning,they let us stay on the premises & use utilies as our bus was to depart late in night.

We stayed in a private double for one night. This hostel was clean, comfortable and in a quiet area on the outskirts of the city. Although a 20 minute walk to the city there is a free courtesy bus to and from the city every hour. Breakfast was good and drinks prices good. There was some happy, party noise but this quietened at about midnight so not an issue. After all this is a hostel! Staff were friendly and helpful.

A good place for the young, I shared a room with my son and the air conditioning was either off on or on full blast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free shuttle bus into town and the airport.

It's kinda close to the city centre, but far enough away to be quiet and cheap
