At the finishing end of the big lap i got a call saying my brother has been admitted to hospital in a bad way. I rocked up at the Ned Kelly Motel looking for a resonible room for 1. Jackpot. The room was great. Bed was great. Shower was perfect and there was undercover parking for my bike. I stayed for a couple of nights while visiting my brother. Absolutely no problems with the room. Quite & comfortable and only 25 minutes from Harvey Bay. I will definitely be going back. The hospitality was great too.
I was really happy with the van accommodation. It was modern, there was a microwave, fridge and reasonably large TV and the sheets and towels were professionally laundered. It is perfect for someone travelling solo.nThe van was well stocked with tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and ample crockery and cutlery with its own sink as part of the kitchenette. Just take your own facial tissues as they don't supply them.nThe air conditioning was good. The shower was always hot and had plenty of pressure.nI don't know what the rules are for the motel rooms, but the vans are serviced once halfway during a stay of at least a week. I was told that your van won't be serviced at all if you are there for less than a week. I was easily able to adapt, taking out my rubbish nightly to one of the many wheelie bins around the place and I put the towels through with the rest of my washing at the on-site laundromat while I waited for my service. This could be a deal breaker for some though.nThey also gave me a key for an onsite kitchen where you can prepare your meals, but I did not venture in there as my kitchenette with its microwave was ample for my needs.nIt is a 5 minute, 3.5km drive into the central business area of Maryborough where there is a mall with a Coles and Big W as well as Woolworths and Aldi in stand alone buildings. I very much enjoyed Queens Park in the town centre at dusk, a lovely park that fronts onto the peaceful Mary River.
This place is awesome! I come here quite frequently and every time I have not been disappointed, rooms come with everything you need for an overnight stay towels, soap, shampoo, clean bedding, kids play centre on the same turf. Staff is always friendly, and easy to get along with.
My husband & I had the pleasure of staying at Ned Kelly’s Motel in Maryborough, and we can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The team went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, greeting us with a smile and assisting us within moments of reaching out.nnThe cabins themselves are lovely, well-maintained, spacious, and equipped with all the amenities you could need. I appreciated the cozy atmosphere, which made it feel like a home away from home.nnOverall, our experience at the Ned Kelly’s was exceptional, we will definitely be back again!
2 nights in a Queen Motel room, room 23 specifically. Both myself and my husband are now covered in what we assume is bed bug bites. We didn't have them before we stayed and we were both bitten at least 30-35 times each which we both noticed after our waking up on the final morning. Room had microwave but no cutlery other than one teaspoon which was super helpful for all the precooked meals we brought with us from home. Top of microwave was dirty - a tray was covering all of the spilt sugar. Bathroom light fitting absolutely filthy. Noisy. Thin walls - could hear the neighbour doing his toilet business. I would not recommend it.
