Reception was lovely and helpful. Location was central to our needs. Very CLEAN and fresh smelt nice. Water & milk in the fridge - kettle, microwave, biscuits tea coffee and a couple of plates supplied : A touch tired but very clean and comfotable! Was quite full BUT very quiet. 10/10 for a quick 1 nite stay! Thank you City Motel it has a pool too I liked the little 'bolt' on the back of the door too!
A classic motel - have stayed here many times to break up the big drive north. Rooms are a little aged but have always been clean. Service from the team always top notch, great communication and very accommodating for my late arrivals.nnPet friendly rooms available too. Thank you!
Haven't really travelled much but spent two nights, thoroughly enjoyed the serenity and service. Would've like to stay longer as a tourist but unfortunately this time its for work purposes, but definitely keeping it in mind for future personal ventures. And it's helpful that there is a hard covered brochure detailing places for food and entertainment.
The lady at reception was absolutely lovely. Gave recommendations for a place to have dinner and was extremely welcoming.nnThe room however was less desirablennOn first glance it looked alright and clean for an older seeming motel. It wasn't until I settled in that I realised the cleanliness of the roomn- major grime build up in corners, shower etc.n- shower had mould on the roof and the tiles were grottyn- I found hairs in one of the 'clean' towels folded on the bedn- TV remote was gritty and coated in dust and dirtn- kettle had a layer of dust on it and the inside had grit stuck to itn- PowerPoint's seemed sketchy, one in particular was extremely loosen- a/c unit was old and smelt of mildewnnSome other things to noten- large gap under room door, I could smell the cigarette smoke from another guest wafting under the doorn- zero soundproofing. You could hear EVERYTHINGnnIf I'd been staying longer than a night I'd have cancelled and rebooked elsewhere.nnAs a female travelling alone, I felt unsafe staying here.
Today we bid farewell to Maryborough Queensland.nPeople have been absolutely amazing, especially the family who owns Maryborough City Motel.nThey have gone above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need. Micheal was an absolute pleasure to chat to, such a beautiful person. If we ever come back to Maryborough we will be staying there again.
