The NFSA is open Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. We are also open Friday nights, weekends and public holidays for advertised events. See Events for details. Our Library is open Wednesday 2:30–4:30 pm.

The NFSA collection holds more than 2.3 million works, including films, television and radio programs, videos, audio tapes, records, compact discs, phonograph cylinders and wire recordings. It also encompasses documents and artefacts such as photographs, posters, lobby cards, publicity items, scripts, costumes, props, memorabilia, oral histories, and vintage equipment.
