Moruya District Hospital

Long wait but excellent care. Doctor was fabulous as were the nurses. Hope you don’t find yourself here but if you do, the care will be good.

I visited Moruya Hospital with a suspected broken bone in the foot. I was very impressed with the short waiting time and the quality of the service. Well done Moruya Hospital!

As someone with a care plan for an ongoing condition, i have been judged and treated unprofessionally more than once, sometimes the staff follow the plan written by my specialists, other times Nurses use their oppinion to give doctors preconcieved ideas before treating me and i end up in a bad place physically and mentally, sometimes rolling in pain half the day before i am treated as per my care plan. I have since contacted the local and state complaints offices and have been promised nursing staff will no longer use their oppinion to missjudge or give fly-in doctors preconcieved ideas based on Nurses unqualified oppinions... And will follow the care plan as my specialist and my GP have written it.

Typical regional hospital. Nursing staff are excellent, doctors not so, as they're likely fly-in fly-out residents unhappy with the post. Visits to Emergency Department always seem delayed at least an hour, despite no apparent queue in front of you, however this seems par for the course for any Australian hospital. All in all a professional and reliable service labouring under the usual bureaucratic budget constraints affecting resources.

While visiting the area my wife need medical attention, the Moruya Hospital staff and doctors were wonderful; quick, comprehensive attention, thank you.
