Thank you to all the staff I was looked after so well during my stay from the 12th to 25 February was exceptional considering the pain I was in you all treated me the best and I felt special thank you

As an 'old' ex Registered Nurse I can only praise the care my elderly mother recently received in this hospital following a fall in her aged care facility. She required a partial hip replacement, and the surgeons were absolutely terrific, caring and empathetic and always ready to keep me up to date with her care and progress. The staff on the Surgical Ward had to cope with a very challenging patient post op and they did this with compassion, professionalism and, above all, did not lose their senses of humour. Nothing was too much trouble; the nursing and allied health care staff also took time to keep me informed and aware of Mum's progress, any tests were attended to quickly and the results always communicated in a timely fashion. A nurse wiped dried blood and manure into a very deep wound causing a severe infection. On complaining to the HCCC, this is the response from the hospital: We agree that the aseptic technique was not consistent with accepted standards and apologise for this. In response all ED staff have been sent a notice reminding them of the need to adhere to clinical care standards. The nurse that dressed my wound had no idea what she was doing. Yet still was allowed to work alone in emergency. Trading new staff takes precident over patient care. Absolutely pathetic hospital.

I would like to thank the Doctor and staff in the hospital. Everyone was so kind and caring. Treated for a fall I needed scans,X-rays and cast on broken wrist. Not much considering other patients, but was well cared for. Thanks to you all.

Casualty was fabulous after I had a fall with complications. The community care group have been outstanding in their professionalism, empathy, follow-up and attention to detail since then. We are fortunate to have such dedicated group here.
