Not a place I would pick if I had a choice. Did not feel clean or welcoming. I am not a smoker and having cigarette butts in the entry mat next to a quarter full tin of butts with even more scattered around the rocks next to the room is not an appealing look. Also, the liability waver you are forced to sign is far from friendly and way over the top in my view. If you do stay there remember to bring your own soap as it is not provided. That said the room was basic but ok as was the food, and the restaurant staff were friendly.
Not the best Miner's Camp I have been to. Very average for accommodation. The food is good. No, washing powder, no soap, no wifi… But, it lies in the centre of town, there is a coles across the road.
Not a bad mining camp overall. Not the best but certainly not the worst. Good points: • in the centre of town; • quick and easy checkin; • good food while I was there; • large ensuite room with double bed, • microwave, kettle, fridge, TV & sink in room. Areas for improvement: • no wifi; • no gym; • basic TV channels; • no greenery.
Clean and comfortable accommodation. There is a dining room onsite and meals is part of the accommodation. Good place to stay away from home while working with friendly staff and 2 minute walk to Coles and shops. Will be staying there again.
Clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation. The food was amazing!! Will be staying again when next in Moranbah.
Food is awesome ,no wet mess, can't bring alcohol either if you can get somewhere else take it, security pretty good except for 2 of them
Located in city center. Nice room size. They do not provide soap or mini toiletries so is a must bring. Also in this day and age, there is no WIFI in this accomodation, unbelievable but it is true. Additionally the staff in the front desk were a bit rude in their approach. Only good thing was the room size and its proximity to the mess. Not staying there again unless it can't be helped.
The rooms are ok, with some rooms that are quite spacious. The food was also reasonably tasty. Covid has caused some changes to the mess - crib is packaged and you select from containers, sandwiches and wraps etc. Likewise, dinner is plated up for you based on what you select. It can also be packaged to take too your room. Note that there is no soap provided, so bring your own!
Rooms are ok. Food is pretty average with only a small selection for lunch’s and doesn’t really change. No WIFI internet which in 2022 is pretty average. Don’t recommend staying here if you can help it
If you are assigned one of the individual cabin at this camp, the experience is actually really decent. Food is definitely the highlight with cook to order available. Free on-site laundry is available though you will need to supply your own detergent. Change of linens and room cleanup happens only once a week. Shampoo/body wash not supplied so bring your own. Nice and convenient walk over to Coles.
