This place looks like a giant caravan parks of nice little cabins...unless you end up in one of the old ones right at the back. These were less than half full but really old, aircon only works with key in it, lucky winter wasn't too hot, also pretty dirty and generally not great. The exhaust fan was filthy and noisy, but they didn't reply to maintenance requests. Double locker for hot-bedding, weird. Back rooms a long, long way to the dining hall, probably better to drive sometimes.nnFood was terrific though, chefs went to a lot of effort and very clean as well. Just no reverse meal options for nightshift.
Food was terrible and definitely slipped. The bed had mites as I itch all night trying to sleep. Use to be 4 stars now its just a camp. Still better than Smart Stayz next door as that camp doesn't even get a star.
Very basic which is fine. Food is hit and miss. Staff are friendly. Air con in room doesn't work on a 40 degree day. Still waiting for maintenance guy to come fix it or move me to another room? The office hasn't decided yet. Somewhat very inconvenient for me. Let's hope they don't lock children in cars on a hot day with that kind of attitude
Dongas have no insulation, you come back to your room and it's like 40 degrees inside, it takes an hr and a half of air con on full blast to cool down. And you can't leave your room as you have to leave key in wall. Also WiFi doesn't work, only 1x entry/day to crib room. No laundry powder in laundry. Make it your camp of last resort if you are in Moranbah for work!
Initial stay, the cabin was disappointing. The curtains were mouldy ! I requested a change; to be advised it would be done the next day. When I got back at 4:30 pm the next day … not done . Another phone call and they were changed. The food is great 50% of the time and average the other 50%. The place needs a hot chocolate / coffee machine
