What can I even say……nI realise it’s a dusty town but you’d think they’d at least clean the room prior to someone staying in there.nThe layer of dust over everything was horrendous, the air con was so caked with dust we couldn’t even turn it on without going into a sneezing fit.nWe went through half a box of antihistamines…nThere was mould lining the shower floor, the mattress looked like they’d found it at the local tip and they had the bed frame thrown in for free, the sink hole in the bed was bigger then sink hole that Moranbah is.nAnyway, I don’t recommend it at all!!nI’d recommend staying somewhere nice in Mackay and driving the 2 hours to get there.nn0/5 stars
We paid for 2 nights and on arrival to unit my wife always checks the bed to make sure of new sheets and have a look at what she found. Unmade sheets and a closer look pubic hairs on the sheet Totally disgusting. We had to wait until morning so I turned the sheets over but still you get uneasy feeling. I Confronted management who was very nice and refunded our money and told me she was having problems with the cleaning service This is a warning for all check the bed on arrival and be smart take your own pillows.
It was my first time coming to Moranbah and I requested early check in with my family from Natalie at the front desk. Not only was she understanding of the situation, but was friendly and professional throughout, and got me the first available room to check in, hours before the official timing.nnGreat service, and really clean and tidy rooms.nWould recommend them 100%
My partner Jude and I had a great experience staying at Direct Hotels for work. Sue was very accommodating along with her cute fur baby dog Mickey, who was also very accommodating by greeting us everytime we saw him. The rooms were always cleaned and neat whenever we came by and Sue was always there to provide us a room whenever we would come by early. Would recommend others to stay in this hotel, would be the best one in Moranbah! We definitely would come back to stay here next time :
Great one bedroom apartment with seperate bedroom. It was great to have a kitchen and laundry in the apartment. Everything was clean and comfortable. The check in process was quick and informative, it was great to be welcomed in.
