Dongers, dongers, dongers. This is a mining town, so don’t expect luxury. The donger style accommodation is sparse, but incredibly clean, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Close to just about everything, so it’s an easy walk to most things in town.nBe aware that most of the workers start mobilising to work from about 3:00am, so it’s a constant cacophony of loud conversations and vehicles starting from that time until around 7:00am.
We are using coal country for mealsnVery pore selection and verry fatty oily and realy below averagenExtremely rood kitchen staff that just hang around bay marey just driping sweat every were.nWe requested to eat some were eals with our acomidation.nIf canot change venue for meals we will not be staying there eather.nMy entire crew is now buying out and doing shoping.nSo just a wast of company money on what we are not getting.
1. Major drawback no wifi. Not sure why the wifi was excluded, as this is one of the basic things.n2. I was planned to stay 2 weeks but has been requested to check out from the initial room better room with all the work gear into an older room with extremely noisy aircon.n3. Foods are great
Getting more average every time. Aircon doesn't work and mould throughout bathroom. Easy fixes but just doesn't happen.nThe next time I stayed, the air con worked but sounds like a truck engine, The room was 38 degrees when I arrived back after work and it took 3 hours for air con to get it down to 28. The old rooms are pathetic and not up to contract standard. Trying to sleep isn't going to happen either, while you head is only 2M from a speed bump outside in the laneway where trucks and utes drive up and down at over 60Km/h all night.
This is my first stay at the Coal Country Village after renovations for business purposes. The room was comfy enough. Overall the employees were very friendly.The room was in adequate condition, but could have used additional cleaning behind bathroom door, under vanity and the bath tub was rusting around the drain.nIt's obvious they are short staffed as the entry and exit foyers were filthy with dirt, cigarettes, and glasses. The CCV is okay, but it has honestly declined in quality and gone up in price. Hope you have a different experience when staying here.
