Lakehouse Taupo

The food here is fine but let's be real, the drinks here are fantastic. This place introduced me to my favorite beer of all time: White Mischief by Garage Project. Do yourself a favor and go here with an open mind and a clean pallette. You'll walk out loving beers you didn't know existed. Fairly priced and great service.

Terrible. 7 adults on a Sunday morning around 11am. Place was not busy. Had to ask twice after being seated for 15 min to order, we're told it was table service and they would come to us. Eventually did. Hot drinks took another 15min, meals another 30min after the drinks. Meals arrived just as we were debating whether to leave and go elsewhere. Meals were not spectacular. Left feeling disappointed. Would not go back for food again.

Decent selection of craft beer and some nice choices for food. Seafood came out on a hot rock that I was able to cook the food on to my liking. Careful! Extremely hot!

Ordered an expensive platter for two and only got two pieces of stale bread. The cheese was dry and it looked hurriedly put together. Not impressed.

A busy corner restaurant with a pub atmosphere. Tall seats around barrels or re worked wooden tables. There is a good selection of beers on tap and at $20 a jug we sat there for hours with the staff not trying to move us on to free the table. My wife was particularly impressed with her veggy stack meal.
