Our venue brings to the neighbourhood an exciting shared plates menu that delights our guests with communal dining & offers a relaxing bar that reflects 25 years of wine expertise & a passion for craft beer.

We have over 250 wines for you to choose from at close to retail, not restaurant prices. Enjoy them in the bar or let us help you match wine with your choice of our shared plates. Our wines, like our food, are never static and change with the seasons.

We offer some of New Zealand’s best labels in our ever evolving wine list, introducing exciting boutique winemakers that are as passionate about their wines as we are about sharing them with you.

There are craft beers on tap or by the bottle and flagon – locally & regionally produced.

Enjoyed our dinner immensely. Great menu the tapas were outstanding and the lamb and duck excellent. Great wine and beer selection. Thank you for  excellent service by staff on a busy Friday night even though we had no booking.

Well oh my goodness! what a fantastic evening. Such a lovely feel to this space, the wine list is actually a wall of wine! How fun!! The four of us were lucky enough to walk into this busy establishment at 6:15pm and get seated without a booking, what a very accommodating restaurant manager indeed. The four of us ordered a share plate each, which are usually 3 peices, our fantastic waiter asked the chef if he would increase the serving to 4, that we might try each dish (Which he did :).) All of the dishes were well balanced and amazongly tasty. We ordered several cocktails before, and a glass of wine each with our mains, yet somehow the bill was under $500. The atmosphere, setting, staff, and food were all the best. Why this amazing establishment does not have a chef hat, I do not know. The best in North Island! A+++

Caught a few fish in the lake today. Leanne and the team at the vine agreed to cook one up for us. I don't think I have ever left a review before, but these people deserve one. What a great meal. Really fantastic! Thanks again! Really a lifelong memory!

Excellent food, wine and service. We showed up without a reservation and were given a table for four without problems and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
