“Great Chicken with a Stunning Lake View!”nnKFC Taupo delivers not only delicious, satisfying burgers but also an incredible dining experience with its fantastic location by Lake Taupo. While enjoying my meal, I was treated to the breathtaking view of the lake, making the experience even more enjoyable. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and well-prepared – exactly what you’d expect from KFC. The staff was friendly, and the service was prompt, even during peak hours. If you’re in Taupo, I highly recommend grabbing a burger here and soaking in the beautiful scenery. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing and tasty meal!
I've tried KFC in various cities, but this particular outlet stands out as the best. However, my experience was slightly marred by the long waiting time of almost 30 minutes. Additionally, the table surfaces were not clean, likely due to the high volume of customers queuing for their renowned deep-fried chicken. Despite these drawbacks, I thoroughly enjoyed the food. It's a pity that the waiting time and cleanliness issues detracted from an otherwise excellent dining experience.
I typically don't leave reviews, especially for fast-food places, but I couldn't hold back this time. The most dreadful and disappointing experience at KFC in my life. I've traveled extensively, tasted KFC in various, sometimes less-than-ideal locations worldwide, but one thing remained constant: the taste of KFC chicken.nnI've encountered deviations from the original recipes, but KFC Taupo shocked me in the worst way possible. We ordered the Summer Bucket, expecting the usual KFC chicken as advertised – crispy, seasoned with the signature spices. What we got resembled something from the worst roadside cafe on the outskirts of Bangkok.nnThe chicken was repulsively bland, lacking any hint of the advertised flavor. No crunch, just a coating of salt. It felt like they rolled the chicken in flour and salt, then tossed it in a pan with minimal oil. Horrible. We anticipated the consistent taste and crunch of KFC chicken but ended up with a bucket of rejects. Terrible chicken and a terrible evening.nnThe service was fast and reasonably friendly, but what they served us doesn't deserve to be called KFC chicken. Strongly advise against it.
One of worst KFC experiences. For starters they advertise a bucket deal with a promotional hat but they have run out of hats and still advertising as available. Our meal came with a 1.5ltr drink but they ran out of the bottles and gave us 2 x 600ml bottles. Staff have no direction and seem lost. Really disappointing meal, service and everything.
Come on KFC TAUPO.nABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. If your outside is like this, I'd hate to think what the inside looks like.nAlso, your food has no flavouring at all and just tastes so bland and there is something wrong with the size and dryness of your chicken.nLastly, you need to consider moving to another location so council can completely close that area to vehicles as it is so dangerous with the children, adults and vehicles sharing that area.nI do hope you take full responsibility for anyone who gets run into or over through your arrogance in wanting to keep your drive through open , even with a speed limit of 10 kms.nMany drivers ignore that speed limit but even if they keep it, the speed limit is still so dangerous.
