Our apartment block have had The Knight Alliance as our Owners Corporation Managers for nearly 20 years. Over that time we have had three Managers. Each of them have been exceptional in our dealings with them. We also like the interesting guest speakers that The Knight Alliance organise throughout the year where you can learn lots of interesting things.
I have been renting for over 20 years and never have a dealt with a more useless Body Corp. For two months the front entrance door to our apartment building has been defective and for the last week and a half it has been stuck completely open, allowing access to anyone 24 hrs a day. Our mailboxes have been broken into and our parcels are stolen on a daily basis. Our cars have been broken into numerous times and bicycles stolen from the carpark too. We’ve reported it to The Knight multiple times myself and other residents and nothing gets done. They never write back to emails and if they do take our call there is still no action taken after - we just get ghosted! These recent 5 star reviews have to be fake - they are completely incompetent. *** I will also mention that I reported a major safety concern over a YEAR ago as i woke up to group of teenagers on my balcony and tagging my windows. Despite the safety issues - I am STILL waiting for the graffiti to be removed so I can see out my window. Even my property manager, who cc’d me in on the emails, has asked numerous times when it would be cleaned and only once Jessica responded back in January saying it was all booked in. Multiple emails have been sent since as nothing has been done and not one response received. I even called up on 28 March and was apologised to and said they were definitely booked for the following week.. it’s nearly June… and still nothing.. I am sure The Knight provide fantastic service to the owners, but you’re sh*t out of luck if you’re renting.
This review for the Knight Alliance is from a trades, sub-contractor perspective. We did work for The Knight for nearly a decade. In that time we did many short notice jobs and successfully executed work orders with a minimum of fuss and very little communication from the Knight itself. In nearly a decade the staff never remembered who we were. The site and account managers gave zero acknowledgement of our work and every time we rang for more information we were met with a stony, cold disregard as if we were some annoying tenant ringing to complain. I state the first point again: After hundreds of successful jobs the staff at a site management level had NO IDEA who we were. They seemed to just look us up on a database and send us a work-order. We found this very confusing and disconcerting. After COVID they started getting more erratic. They would send us quote requests where we would be expected to quote on jobs where the Knight had no site data or job information. Literally they would send you an email asking for a quote on a job they couldn't give you any information about. Worse still this would be an email...the site agents never phoned us they just sent impersonal emails. We found the staff disinterested, rude and confused. I'm not sure I would want that culture over-seeing my property
Dear Community, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the Knight Body Corporate in Balaclava, particularly with Jeremy, the manager. My experience with them has been extremely unsatisfactory, and I feel compelled to share it with you all. For the past few months, I have been facing a serious issue with water leaking from the roof into my bathroom, causing mold and dirt to accumulate on the ceiling. Despite numerous attempts to contact Jeremy through phone and email, the problem was not resolved. At the beginning, Jeremy did respond to my messages and assured me that the issue would be taken care of. However, no action was taken, and my emails were subsequently ignored. This kind of unresponsiveness and lack of care for residents' concerns is unacceptable. I believe that a body corporate should be responsible and attentive to the needs of its residents. Unfortunately, my experience with the Knight Body Corporate has been the opposite. They have demonstrated poor customer service and have left me with problem that might affects my health and wellbeing. If you are looking for a body corporate that is responsive, attentive, and cares about its residents' needs, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. The Knight Body Corporate in Balaclava has been a complete disappointment, and I urge you to avoid them at all costs. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
I have clicked on see reviews simply out of interest as I Google searched the new address for The Knights office. The negative comments seem extraordinarily harsh, and I would question the detail of many if not all the scenarios that have been offered as reason for such comments. I do not believe they are a true picture of this company. The Knight have been our OC manager for 21 years. I have been on committee for this same time. The relationship has been effective and efficient in the managing of our building and compliance with the requirements of us. On rare occasion there has been minor issues as happens in life, in business and as you would expect over such a length of time with one company. Nothing that could warrant such a public attempt to discredit them. I am most definitely a person that is upfront and have no hesitation in making my dissatisfaction known and will do so to whomever I feel it necessary. It is simply not possible that The Knight are deserving of such public condemnation on matters presented by one side in any of the negative reviews. I am on four OC Committees, the Chair of three of these. I assure you The Knight is the one I have the most confidence in the management of an OC.
Terrible at communication, and rarely reply to contact and after repeated attempts. Do the absolute bare minimum amount of work required and evidently don't care about their tenants. The automatic security door to our apartment building has been broken for months leading to security issues, including mailboxes and storage cages being broken into. The Knight have known about this for months and still don't want to perform the necessary fixes.
Excellent experience with The Knight - their service and professionalism has been fantastic! Our account manager Harleen Chawla has done an exceptional job of managing the property. @Harleen: we appreciate the hard work you've put in for us!
Terrible OCM company. Heaps of problems and delayed responses. Most notable, they failed to set up the proper maintenance process when they took over from the developer/builder. This meant vital maintenance was not performed affecting the building insurance and warranty as well as costing the OC tens of thousands of dollars in damages to repair vital equipment. Vital Equipment that would have been covered under the now voided warranty if the required maintenance had been done in the first place. Avoid like the plague and if you do get theKnight make sure every single piece of equipment is scheduled for its maintenance and that you audit theKnight to ensure they are doing their job!
Terrible. Not an easy issue we have, but the Knight has been working on a solution for 8 months now to repeated flooding. Our manager is doing all he can, but at the end of the day we have an apartment that keeps flooding and no solution in sight. Super frustrating and I feel quite helpless. The OC fees keep coming in...but solutions are sadly lacking. Hate doing these online reviews, but I am getting desperate. Maybe someone who can actually get something done will take notice and actually do something inside of 12 months.
Our new manager, Harleen Chawla, has been proactive and professional in providing management services to our owners corporation. She took the time to inspect our property and speak to us about our issues soon after commencing, and has so far been responsive and efficient in dealing with our queries and requests.
