We visited the store specifically to try a range of ergonomic chairs and were particularly interested in the Haworth Soji, a chair retailing for around $1,000.nnTo our disbelief, the only display model was occupied by someone who did not seem to be a staff member. They had effectively set up a full remote office at the showroom desk: laptop open with engineering software running, AirPods in, notebook, pencil, protractor, backpack - the full suite of items necessary for WFH. It genuinely looked less like a retail showroom and more like a co-working space or a library.nnIt was remarkable to witness.nnOrdinarily this might have been amusing, but the individual was occupying the only Soji available for testing. We spent roughly an hour in the store and the situation remained unchanged throughout. Eventually we managed to sit in the chair briefly, but only for about a minute before its temporary custodian promptly reclaimed possession. Said individual was aware of customers interested in the Soji there were two other groups, but nonetheless remained unperturbed perhaps due to staff inaction.nnI understand this is perhaps not really the fault of the store, but the staff members should really have intervened. It beggars belief that such conduct was condoned.nnWe ultimately took our $1,000 elsewhere and received a far more positive customer experience, despite spending more. A disappointing and rather bizarre Officeworks experience.
Great store …. Absolutely everything you need to set up a home office … or get the kids ready for school… very helpful service … the team we’re all really friendly and eager to help … prices are always good too ..
This is one of their larger branches so they have the space to have things on display unlike most CBD stores, so if I'm looking to test something like a sit/stand desk or office chair, I'd automatically choose this store to visit first so I can test them out assembled. Service was also great. Recent purchase was packed in a 30kg box and a staff member grabbed it from shelf, loaded it on a trolley, followed me to counter then continued to drag it to my car and even loaded it into my car! Absolutely amazing! Free parking with plenty of spots.
Just finished refurbishing a vertical turntable l had which was originally in a red colour. I used the premium Montana Black Matte spray paint & a sealer and repainted it to better suit my decor. Came up outstanding. Such a beautiful finish. Also purchased black grille speaker cloth from Jaycar to cover the previous turntable grilles! Another job ticked off my long list. Still going. Excellent quality spray paint. Thanks!
