The Josef Chromy Cellar Door Restaurant and Winery is located at Relbia, 10 minutes from the Launceston Airport and 15 minutes from Launceston CBD in northern Tasmania.
Josef Chromy Wines’ 61-hectare (150 acre) vineyard produces a number of varieties of highly sought-after grapes, carefully crafted in our on-site winery. Wines include Sparklings, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Gris.

Food presentation was excellent and so was the taste. One of the best meals we’ve had for a while and the setting amongst the winery makes the whole experience. Service was friendly and attentive. Kids also accommodated very well with menu and dessert. Lovely to walk outside after the meal too.

Came there a week ago as local women recommended us to do in order to get sweet wine. We didn't worry much about the name of the winery.. then we came back again week later... when we decided to check out best wineries in the area and Chromy's was the first in the list. Ended up buying 3 bottles of the very same vino :D

Very efficient and friendly staff.  She'll tell you the story of Josef if you Hoi the paid tour.  The surprise menu is tasty and it's very good to serve with wine pairing.  But it takes very long time to get the main course ready.

Wonderful lunch here. The four course feed me menu was fantastic. Quality and service equal to or better than upmarket Yarra Valley or Mornington. 
Sadly, they don’t do tastings of their premium wines. After such a lovely lunch we were keen to get a couple of premium bottles of Pinot. The 2016 Pinot we had at lunch was fairly pedestrian so we wanted to taste before forking out $75 for a bottle of Zdar Pinot. No taste, no buy guys. Disappointing attitude at the cellar door. We’ll stick with the Holm Oak Wizard at $65 a bottle which is an outstanding wine.

Sunday semi lunch amidst the rain one afternoon. Greeted with excellent service which continued throughout the whole experience. Spelt bread was yummy and the accompanying butter was laced with Chardonnay like goodness.  Main course of lamb with the side of asparagus was killer! 2012 Pinot was ok for the price point. Must eat joint in Launceston
