We took our diner away. The Spinach & Cottage Cheese Kebab were way too salty. Cheese naans weren't good. However, the curries was OK. We took chicken Corma and veg coconut curry. Edit : I didn't say it was spinach and cheese naan. Please read again.

Had a wonderful evening with a wonderful host. The food was delicious and plenty of it. I can fully recommend this lovely restaurant.
Fantastic, one of the best curries I’ve had in Australia usually they are too mild. I told him I liked spicy and what did he recommend - he suggested the chicken tikka masalla. Lots of tasty spices, unlike anything I’ve had previously- Beautiful. Full marks to the chef. I think he may have heated it up for me, but that’s cool, it was delicious. Can I score it a 6?
Best dal makhani I have had in Australia, even very rare in India. The owner/chef was very courteous, listened to what kind of food we needed and exceeded expectations at it. Very good naan bread! Best indian food in Launceston, we tried others and they cant even be compared with AJs.
I am unable to recommend AJ's.When asked how my meal was, I replied that it hadn't been the best.AJ started yelling at me in front of my children and demanding I follow him into his kitchen. He was intimidating and unprofessional. We were all traumatised and left quickly . In regards to the food it was not worthy of a second visit.The palak Paneer spinach wasn't green ie not enough spinach, the butter chickens gravy was awful. A very scary experience all in all
The food is rather good and the staff are really nice. I would go back here. I found the food spicy but the chef insisted and took it back and made it less spicy for me. Thank you!
the host is a cheerful, bright friendly person and the food is scrumptous. it is an ultimate treat for everyone especially for indians looking for local taste. we had the cheese naan platter and saag paneer and the cheese was just melting in the mouth, paneer cooked to perfection!the mango lassi was like heaven... it was almost closing time but the host was sweet enough and was considerate to let us sit and have our dinner. a fantastic welcome in launceston!
If you want Indian home made food, come here without second thoughts. Excellent service. Tasty food. Highly recommend.
Very misleading take away Menu. Says 2 curries 750 ml and end up giving you 2 small curries in one 750 ml container. Mentioned 2 starters and gave 1 piece of each. Called in to complain and the person on the phone was very rude and when mentioned about the problem he hanged up the phone. Won't recommend it ever.
