Josef, from Joe Joinery Carpentry, recently put an entire new kitchen in for me. He did an excellent job, and I am very very happy with the result. He made an extremely good plan for the kitchen, and showed me images on my computer of exactly how it would look when finished. Nothing was too much trouble for him. At all times he was friendly, helpful and polite. I first heard about him when he put a new laundry in for my son, who was also very happy with his work. I will certainly use him again for any other carpentry work and I thoroughly recommend him to anyone wanting quality work.

I am taking the time to write a review because I am so genuinely happy about the joinery work I've just had done this past week. I live in Sydney and after exhausting my patience searching on Google, I couldn't find a Joiner who's web site seemed to indicate they could do a bespoke job like the one I wanted. I am also a freak for detail, knew exactly what I wanted, and quality was important - no shortcuts. I ended up throwing up my requirements on a Trade sourcing site, and got 3 responses pretty quickly - 1 from Josef Nachlinger. 1 of the 3 respondents provided me a hand written quote via email after receiving measurements and sketches from me, 1 didn't reply after seeing my requirements, but Josef wanted to see the space and measure up. Josef was very particular. He wanted to draw up the design digitally, and only if I didn't proceed, we agreed a $200 charge for his time doing the drawings. Sounded fair to me, but was a bit of a risk if he didn't come through. After a week or so, and about 4 or 5 edits/refinements from me, I had the final digital images showing me exactly what the finished product would look like. I was super happy. (I was after floor to ceiling storage, a built in - but hidden - desk and shelves, and an overhead retractable pull out draw which revealed/contained photography backdrops). After a little haggling (who doesn't haggle :)), we reviewed and agreed product materials and I paid the deposit. Josef advised me a start date, and from there, he went about his business. Josef built some elements off-site and then installed these, and others he customised onsite. Josef has a Czech background - I'm not sure if his attention to detail comes from this Czech background or not, but his it really has to be seen to understand how high quality his build was. Josef is a fairly young guy, which was actually a plus for me - he didn't try and talk me out of my ideas or suggest short cuts - he simply got to work - absolutely nothing was an issue for him, everything was taken in his stride. There was no anxiety, no issues or stress - he simply went about his work, and over about a week, he built a final product identical to that which we agreed in the drawing - to the finest detail there wasn't a single item which wasn't delivered exactly as we agreed. I actually think Josef enjoyed the challenge, the bespoke design elements, and emphasis on quality details. He is not only super talented, he is a genuinely nice guy, very modest and quietly spoken - but also very conscious of my wife and young family - very courteous at all times when in my property. I have no hesitation in recommending Josef's joinery services. 5 Star beginning to end.
