This better be told, the note is going to be a long one, get yourself a coffee!nnI had a horrible experience at JB Hi-Fi Northland doing a click & collect for one of my orders on 4/12/2025.nnThis was my first time dealing with this store and I have normally had a great experience with their Thomastown store which is where I would normally go, but the items that I ordered was only in stock at Northland store, so had to opt-in for this store and I so wish I could go back to change my decision!nnHere’s what transpired:nnPlaced a click & collect order for 2 items on 27/11 and both items were showing as ‘In stock’ for this Northland store, within 30 minutes of placing the order I got a call from someone from this store stating one of the items was out of stock, the same item that was apparently out of stock everywhere else and the sole reason I placed an order with this store. The store person mentioned they can order & it would take a few days. I was fine with it; I was in no rush so all sweet there I understand the craziness of Black Friday sale. Ideally the website should have reflected the stock status but no dramas.nnGot a message and went to collect yesterday, 4/12, from the store around 6pm AEST, had a completely forgetful experience from a customer service standpoint –nnThere were 3 folks at the register a young lady, a young man, and the store manager. The lady who attended me at the register found one of the items the same item that was out of stock before and couldn’t locate the other. She tried searching, asked her colleagues but still couldn’t find it.nnI was waiting patiently and said if it helped, I could show them the confirmation email with the products I ordered if that helped, to which the manager likely Brendan -though not sure he very directly and somewhat rudely said “We know what we are looking for!”. That was the first stab and I was a bit taken aback with that response. Anyways we move on.nnI kept waiting and the manager told that lady to serve other customers, and no-one at the registers mentioned anything to me, kept me waiting without saying a word – talk about customer service!!nnI could see what was happening and a complete joke of servicing customers properly. Had waited for around 20 minutes and then couldn’t take it anymore. There were no updates, nothing from anyone at the store whilst keeping me waiting!!nnMy patience gave up and I finally showed my first signs of frustration, albeit in a very graceful and polite way, to the guy at the register to either cancel the order for the item that they cannot find or get me a replacement from the store as I couldn’t wait any longer. I also said it would have been faster to come to the store and buy from here than this click & collect.nThat was the first time I was spoken to during the wait of over 20 minutes where I was kept in complete dark -no updates, no apologies, no nothing!nnThe guy was helpful and said give us a few minutes, and finally the manager came and it had been a few minutes, and I said the same thing again when the manager also apologized but it was just for the sake, he didn’t mean nothing. No emotions, no concern – you could feel it!nnThe manager and the lady at the register during this time couldn’t care less about me as a customer and I was shocked at the level of customer service at this store, not something you’d expect from JB Hi-Fi, especially when the staff at other stores are really polite, courteous and friendly!nnFinally, I took that one item they could find and left the store in absolute disgust. Never coming back to this particular store and may never even shop at JB Hi-Fi.nnBrace up when you visit this store as you may not be served as well as you’d hope and expect.
Really good range of tech and accessories. The staff were extremely helpful and asked me straight away if i needed assistance. Another thing about the staff that i really appreciated was something that i don't see in reviews, or talked about at all, was that when I told them i didn't need assistance and was happy looking, they left me to go about my business and they went about theirs instead of hovering around like a mozzie waiting for the right time to go on for the sting. But, when i did eventually need assistance with unlocking the security device on the item I had decided to purchase, they were right on it, happy to assist, and completely professional. Great customer service is knowing when your presence isn't needed, just as much as it is knowing when it isn't. The staff here got that and it made my time there a calm and comfortable one. This store is going to be my first stop in the future if ever I'm needing a tech fix or some new tunes for the collection. Not even gonna do around online first. They're usually good value anyway and, even if it costs me a bit more, It's worth it for the value of having a good customer experience.

Amazing service from Andrei!nAndrei was incredibly kind, polite, and professional throughout my visit. What really stood out was how patiently he supported and guided a new team member — calmly explaining things and creating such a positive and respectful environment. It's clear that he genuinely cares about both the customer experience and his team. Service like this is rare these days, and Andrei truly went above and beyond. Highly recommended!
