We have had an experience with him sorting out samsung fridge issue made very relaxed, easy and this was a trick warranty replacement he has dealt with. Last night 12/08/22 8:30 pm I had the best customer experience/service I have ever had. A male employee named Chris deserves all praise here. I had an issue with some headphones which I had purchased a couple of months ago and this employee went seriously above and beyond to make me feel that this issue was his top priority and that he genuinely wanted to help me out. Not only did he address the issue but his knowledge of the products was superior so he gave some stellar recommendations. He knew the product and had an in-depth understanding of what makes a good wireless headphone and thus recommended some accordingly. I am not someone who usually leaves reviews but I have to give credit where credit is due, and this man deserves it all. His communication skillset and emotional intelligence are top tier and I will be recommending this JB store to people from now, all thanks to Chris and his fellow coworkers who were also extremely polite and helpful.
It’s a hectic time of year and technology is surpassing even my basic knowledge. The first sales assistant couldn’t find the stock, tried to sell me the wrong cords and didn’t know what an Apple computer was? In the end she said she didn’t work in that department. The manager was very helpful but he didn’t offer solutions that worked and tried to sell me on costly products that were obsolete. I ended up serving myself and found what I needed and he dismissively said ‘do what you want.’ Like I said it’s a full time Job keeping up with technology but I was hopeful of better service.
Possibly the worst shopping experience to date. I was doubled charged for a click-&-collect order even after assurances from the front counter staff that I wouldn’t I originally lodged a click-&-collect order for an OLED television through the JB HI-FI online store. During the purchase, I authorized an online Pay Pal payment, as I was required to submit a payment before collecting my television at the store. When I arrived at the store for collection, a television department staff member strongly suggested that I change my order to home delivery instead, because my car was not suitable for transporting such a delicate screen panel. Fair enough, I trusted their advice on that. They issued me a new invoice, which included the cost of the television plus home delivery. When I presented the invoice to the front counter, I explained to them that I already made an online payment, but the transaction hadn’t been processed by my bank yet. They assured me that the online purchase wouldn’t be processed by my bank and I wouldn’t be double charged if I paid the new invoice with my debit card. Once again, I trusted their advice. The next day, I woke up to find that both the online order and in-store purchase were processed by my bank, and I got a lovely overdraft fee to boot. When I called back the store, the person over the phone told me that the refund can only be credited to the debit card I used for the instore purchase. On arriving at the store, all they did was cancel my online click-&-collect order. I could have done the same thing at home without having to waste my time and fuel driving to the store. In the end, I requested a refund for both my online and in-store purchase. I would be disrespecting myself if I gave you guys a single dollar after the headache I had to go through.
Brand new, huge stock, but no staff, sales people say they are sorry but either they do not know, or they are busy, or they ask to wait near the product you want to buy, or they ask to browse. All of these happened in a single visit. Best to avoid in busy Xmas times.
I have always had a great experience with JB Hi Fi until my latest experience at this store. I purchased two Samsung 8K TVs. However, the 65 inch model was out of stock across Australia. I was encouraged to buy the display model by the salesperson. He assured me it was in great condition and had only just been put on display. I never buy display items, but trusted this salesman. Upon delivery, I noted that there were fingerprints all over the screen. And I mean serious fingerprints. Next, the remote was not working. The process to get this remote replaced was an absolute joke. It took around 5 phone calls to this JB branch. Samsung were also very difficult to deal with. All in all, took 3 weeks to get a new remote sent out to me. Not a great experience from this store.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. Note positive reviews are usually after a good buying experience. BUT if something is faulty you will find it a horrible experience in trying to have it replaced or refunded. If buying an expensive product buy direct from the manufacturer not JB HI Fi Chadstone store.
No music section for cds or vinyls but atleast they had headphones. Walked in, did a complete lap of the store and walked out; waste of time. Bought headphones at around 5pm on the way to an appointment and we were in a hurry. Needed staff assistance and could only find one who was busy and two at registers with a long line. Asked the former employee who said they'd be with us in 5 minutes. We waited about 10 and so I walked around and found that employee standing around. Not a very good experience and as mentioned prior haven't always walked out with what I needed.
Would give 0 stars if I could. After charging me for an item they were unable to provide I was instead told I could get a refund in 2-4 days which is obviously unacceptable and very illegal. Effectively they stole money from me. Staff was also extremely rude and incompetent. Won't be going back and will recommend others to avoid. I'm seeking legal advice on the money stolen from me currently.
On this 26th Dec. It was a busy boxing day sale in the store. Crowley was able to quickly help us recommend us to a fridge and provide a competitive deal that competed with what HN was offering. Susan was very helpful and patient at the counter in processing the numerous gift voucher we had. It was good to receive top service in busy difficult environment. Thank you
