What a great store this is. We stopped by on our way north to buy off grid equipment. Jacob was so helpful and added bonus was taking advantage of the Father’s Day sales . Just a tour of the store is worth it. It has extensive range of products.
They had what I needed in a pinch, but the younger man working there was incredibly condescending and trying to one-up me on everything I asked for. Clearly didnt know what he was talking about, but wanted to feel smart. I prefer the staff at Belconnen.
I have no idea about electronics but needed to buy some converters for a village in the Solomon Islands. Maddy helped me out and was incredibly patient with trying to ensure that I had the best value products and that I had everything needed for the solar panel/freezer set up my friend was after. Really helpful and even Googled products with me to ensure she was providing the best info and products. Really appreciate it.
Wow, now that was an interesting not good experience.nMy wife is at the dentist, so I go in for a drive to the Fyshwick store just to browse and I might buy some filament. I don’t want any nor did I ask for assistance. I’m a big 3D printing enthusiast, always interested in other brands I don’t use, I’ve been tempted to buy a Centuri Carbon, but there’s a new one out soon, so I’ll wait. This older guy asks if I need help, I say no, he’s taking about something to me after that, I don’t recall, but I tell him I’ve got nine printers, I’m all good I’m trying to politely stop him from trying to help me and I just casually say “I’m a Bambu Lab user anyway” hoping that that will stop the conversation. But no, he decided to go on a rampage about Bambu being a Walled garden, takes two weeks to get parts from them this is so far from the truth it’s not funny and that Orca slicer is better yadda yadda yadda. I just say that I don’t care about the walled garden, it’s not a two week wait for parts, and really, what mods can you do to a Centuri carbon worth anyone’s time anyway I’m paraphrasing and he’s carrying on like I killed his dog.nI did not provoke this guy apart from telling him that I use Bambu, but for some reason, that trigger him off.nNow I don’t care for Bambu anymore that any other company, I use what I use, and that’s it. To whoever is in charge of this guy at Fyshwick “if I go into there to just look and mind my own business, I don’t need to be lectured about what I own” and whatever come back they say below this review is basically going to be rubbish.nI didn’t antagonize this bloke, I was just having a conversation, but that seems to be not an option here.nI will never set foot into that store again, and yes, I do buy supplies from Jaycar all the time. I get filament, plate glue, Isopropyl alcohol and whatever stuff they have that helps me in this hobby.nBut it’s all good, Amazon will help me out and there’s plenty of other online stores to get the same stuff from, I never need stuff generally straight away.nThis is not how you behave as a customer service operator, and if you’re going to criticize your competitors, make sure you know exactly what your critiquing in the first place, there’s nothing at all worse than ignorance.nOh, and when the new Centuri Carbon comes out, I’ll buy it online and wait for it.
Great service, I had to buy plugs and wires for speakers and had idea where to start. The staff explained were very helpful in explaining what I needed to buy and how to use it.
