Located at The Entertainment Quarter, 206 Bent Street, Moore Park, New South Wales, Australia nThis is a pretty good cinematic experience to come here but I think it’s pretty similar to other Hoyts Cinemas I have been to. No more and no less. Very clean and impressively designed, creating an inviting, atmosphere. The seats in the cinemas are sooo comfortable and I love that you can fully recline your seat. The food and beverage is expensive but that’s to be expected. The selection of beverages including wines and beer is pretty impressive but also again, expensive. I paid $22.00 concession membership price concession which I thought was expensive. I booked my ticket on the Hoyts App. The staff were courteous but you could tell their heart was there. They didn’t seem to care either way. I wanted to get a frozen drink but the machine wasn’t ready yet it was the beginning of the day, I feel they should have got the machine ready so that can buy these drinks from the first movie session.nUnless you have a car, getting to this cinema is a bit of a track. I had to get the light rail from Central Station to the Moore Park light rail stop and walk from there. I came to this cinema because I heard it was pretty good but I don’t think I would really go out of my way to come back. It’s a good cinema and if you drive, I would recommend. Average ‍
Hoyts Cinemas at the Entertainment Quarter offers a great movie experience. The cinema is impressively clean, and I appreciated the decent selection of spirits, beers, and wines available. The highlight for me was the fully reclining seats in most screens, making for an comfortable viewing experience. Overall, it's a top choice for a night out at the movies!
I recently visited the Lux cinema and felt it didn't live up to expectations, especially considering the $50 price tag. The standard chairs in other cinemas are much more comfortable, and while the ticket includes a Pepsi Max, small popcorn, and table service, I think you could have a better experience elsewhere. I think it’s a better experience going to the downstairs, getting your own drinks and heading into the standard cinema. It’s so beautiful there! And so much cheaper!nnHoyts recently did a fantastic job renovating the downstairs area, which looks incredible. It's surprising they didn't give the Lux area the same treatment. As someone with 8 years of experience in hospitality, I see so much potential for enhancing the Lux experience.nnThe staff were lovely, especially Parker and another woman working on 29/07. They were professional and attentive, making the experience better.
Very big and docile, quiet enough so you didn’t have to hear the adolescent squabble about skibidi toilet or whatever brain rot stuff. They seem to be fine with me dressing as a vampire alongside my non dressed up friends for Nosferatu.
This is the second day in a row that I have tried coming to enjoy some relaxation time over my very rare time off over weekends. Yesterday my seat wasn't working and well guess what? Today it wasn't either. It took us chasing around to find the staff to assist and the only reason I'm even giving 3 stars is because of the assistance and kindness of the manager who assisted me yesterday and Joseph who assisted me today. Such a shame, this is my favourite cinema, I drive around 40-50 minutes to come here just for the cinema. The place is still stunning and the cinema is very pretty but sadly so far I've had awful luck with the DBox seats.
