Drove from Parramatta because Dendy Newtown was the only cinema showing what I wanted to see with decent times. It was so worth it. The customer service was impeccable. I was served by Skye and they were super lovely!!! All the cinemas in my area have self serve touch screens and it was so nice to be served by a human. I signed up to a membership and I will be back!!
If it's not because of Newtown vibe, I would have go to Palace cinema for better at Everything service and bigger screening rooms... or Event cinema for better sound and bigger screening room instead. It went steeply downhill since my first time went there 12 years ago especially when they introduced the new website the year before. It is a HUGE MESS and the customer service is hopeless when communicating.
I would like to express my gratitude for the staff member who assisted me with my refund. Despite the inconvenience of a website error that mistakenly booked my ticket for Newtown instead of Canberra, the staff member handled the situation with patience and understanding. Although it was too late to book a seat in Canberra or cancel the Newtown reservation, he promptly processed my refund. I was able to use that money to secure a ticket for the next available show in Canberra. It’s staff like you that make Dendy so exceptional. I regret not catching your name, but your help truly made my day. Thank you very much!
Had a really positive experience today. I came with a friend who is vision impaired to see the film ‘Here’. Unfortunately the technology didn’t work! However what could have been a stressful situation we turned into a really great morning as the manager Avery put another audio described film on in another cinema.nnHe really went above and beyond and made us feel very welcomed and we just wanted to extend out thanks to him once again.
Bought an $85 voucher Dendy Newtown as a present for Mum's birthday. Manager scans it & says there's only $20 on the card which we've never used. They say you'll have to pay for the movie yourself today & don't know when the error can be fixed. You kidding me? A voucher worth a bad experience & an $85 hole in the pocket. We walked out. Thanks Dendy.
