Well positioned in the heart of the city, surrounded by lots of dining places. Huge cinema and comfortable. The only less positive comment is that elderly might find it hard to get up to the seats with long stairs.
Great cinema, great rooms and great service! I went to watch a movie and the reclining chair was not functioning properly. At the end of the session we spoke to the manager who gave us a complimentary entries as a courtesy. It was a very nice gesture. Will definitely return there!
A big complex with a combination of standard, large and exclusive high-end cinemas. I went to the Paparazzi theatre which had fabulous reclining seats and foot rests. Food and beverages are available to have delivered. They are very expensive and on top of the $46 ticket thought this was excessive. The expensive cinemas also limit the adds prior to the movie to 10 minutes. Usually they can be 30-40 minutes or even more. A good experience though pricy.
I am extremely disappointed with the Gold Class experience at Event Cinemas George Street. This is the second time in one week that my drink order was forgotten. Both times, I had to leave the movie to remind the staff to bring my order, which completely disrupted the experience.nnThe second time was even worse—after informing the waiter, it took an unreasonably long time for the drink to arrive, and when it finally did, it was brought out by hand, which felt unprofessional and far below the standard expected from Gold Class.nnI hope the manager sees this review and takes action to improve the staff's performance. The Gold Class experience is supposed to be a premium service, but right now, it feels like anything but that. Very disappointing.
The seats were somewhat dirty. The gold experience was nothing more than big seats. Way too expensive to be called special. The food was decent but too expensive. I’ve been to cinemas all of the world, I do not recommend this one. The staff was nice, though. They recognize it is way overpriced and not worth it.
