Choose 6 pm enter , had great food and drinks, slowly wait for sunset and watch the cloud fall. Amazing view and beautiful weather. Can’t feel better . Need the moment to relax and empty mind . Please book online and enjoy yourself!
Definitely organise some food before arriving here. Its slopped together like the latter stages of Kitchen by Mike in Alexandria before it folded. Guess the young staff had very little interest to do it right. The drinks slopped together in a slush were also overpriced and lacking any flavour. The setting is great, enjoying one of the rare nice days of this Summer
It has become our tradition to come back every year to this most amazing “cinema” in the world. What else can it be described? I guess this is why we love Sydney…
On the plus side the experience of open air cinema with a backdrop to die for is amazing. But not even being allowed to take in a packet of crisps is petty. And it’s not as if they sell it once inside. May be a health issue open air with birds and bats around but in that case they should say so.
Had a really lovely first experience at OpenAir. Wouldn’t have known about the place until I came across it and got curious. I’m so glad I checked it out and found out they were doing a screening of Jackie Brown that same night. Everything ran pretty smoothly, we were also provided complimentary chocolate. The views of the city skyline were immaculate, the food was served lightning fast, good albeit pricey, and seeing Jackie Brown on the big screen was a completely different experience than from watching at home. We were even provided free ponchos due to the on and off sprinkling rain. HOWEVER, the ONE thing that was wrong with my night was the guy who served me at the bar. His demeanour completely changed when it was my turn to be served. He was purposely being painstakingly slow at simply transferring my drink into a glass. I wanted to reach over and do it myself. and the way he interacted with me was weird and incredibly uncomfortable.. what are you doing? Where is this coming from? You didn’t act that way with people before me. Serve the drink and go. My god.
This is the most beautiful cinema screen I’ve ever seen. Just perfect for a movie date night. Beautiful location overlooking the Sydney harbour, Opera House and the harbour bridge and looking over to the rising skyline of the city of Sydney on the left. You can get there early and have a drink/cocktail while enjoying the beautiful sunset.
Fabulous venue, helpful staff, reasonable drinks prices and food. Undoubtedly the most spectacular outdoor cinema worldwide with a backdrop of the harbour bridge and opera house. Park in the domain - cheap after 6pm and quick exit!
One of the best experiences in the world & reasonably costed & it gets better every year!! There's a reason why I keep coming back every year, it's simply magical to sit watching a film with the Opera house and harbour bridge in the background. The quality of sound and video is exceptionally high too! The seating & dining areas improve every year. The food is the biggest improvement that could be made, but definitely can't complain. Will be back next year!!
It’s awesome, absolutely stunning. It’s a definite must so make sure to organize to go there one night while they’re open. I believe it’ll close after mid February so still time to get your tickets and make sure to go to the restaurant and make it a memorable date night. Highly recommend it don’t miss out
Absolutely unbeatable location with an efficient dinner service provided directly to our table. The perfect Sydney summer evening; dinner and movie with the backdrop of our iconic harbour. I highly recommend this Sydney summer entertainment, it never disappoints!
