Good friendly service at this cinema. We arrived early so we started with a cappuccino. It was made to order - extra hot and we enjoyed it. Just before the movie began we ordered a ‘choc bomb’ ice cream and it was the best I’d had in a long time. It was quite huge, very tasty and lasted 10 minutes into the movie.nThe cinema seating was very comfortable. I left happy on all counts.
Luxury cinema all round. The bar and coffee are fantastic for pre or post movie chill. The popcorn is buttery. The cinema seats are comfy and the small armrest table is great for drinks. Cocktails are good. I love that the Palace cinemas host a lot of international film festivals, there is always a good variety of films to see. All round excellent cinema experience. The only thing that could be improved are the toilets, they were a little unkept. Street parking available as well as the secure parking directly next to the cinema. Join the free palace club for discounted tickets.
Liked the relaxed atmosphere and bar service. Some seats in the cinemas in dire need of repair. Fleas also seemed to have found a home in many seats as they feasted on my wife, resulting in lots of bites. Last visit she brought a blanket to cover the seat but because the a/c was so cold used it to keep warm and the fleas had another go at her!
Good cinema, came to watch one of the films from the Japanese film festival so it's great that they're doing a range of films. Unfortunately the movie started at 6, so it was too early to get dinner before, and by the time the movie finished all the restaurants were either closed or not accepting new patrons so if you're planning a movie + dinner date, you'll need to find a restaurant outside of Leichhardt.
Had a horrible experience a couple weeks ago at one of the major cinemas. Anatomy of a fall was only showing at a few locations and I’m sooo glad I chose palace. Clean theatres, really lovely approachable staff and very reasonably priced snacks. A popcorn water and malteasers for $17 is unheard of anywhere else. would drive 35 minutes to watch a movie here anytime. Thank you for a memorable experience
