We stayed only one night as we had an early flight the next day. We were surprised how quiet it was being so close to the airport.

Restaurant food is excellent. The room was clean and tidy.

However, getting to the hotel from the car hire drop off point was a pain due to the pavement construction works ongoing. We hope this is a temporary arrangement.

Obviously, this is not a hotel where one is going to stay for a holiday, but we highly recommend it for a short stop if you are flying in or out of Melbourne.

Perfect to jump out of the plane, race to the
Hotel and have a shower !!! 1 night after
a long term flight is also a great idea.
Clean & friendly rooms, full sunshine, 
and inside you don't hear the airport noises. 
The breakfast buffet is huge. Juices, tea's, coffees & everything to eat. It's your choice. 
If you get guest in the morning, they collect 20 € for the extra breakfast. That's a very 
good price. Professional stuff & friendly.

My wife and I have a young child, which can make even short trips challenging at times.

My wife's parents were travelling overseas for an extended period so we decided to do a surprise send off for them at the airport. This meant that we needed a room for the night near the airport.

Having lived in Melbourne for many years, and travelled frequently in and out of Melbourne airport, we had passed the Holiday Inn on many occasions. As we were travelling with our infant daughter, we were looking for decent accommodation.

The Holiday Inn more than met our needs. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly staff, who offered us a portacot for our daughter. The windows of the rooms are also well soundproofed. So much so that we couldn't hear the incoming and outgoing planes.

The complementary breakfast was also brilliant. Buffet and meals from the breakfast menu all included.

Very satisfied with our stay. Would recommend to anyone.

Hotel is out dated and in need of a reno or complete demolition! Young staff are lovely older ladies are expired and rude. Forget trying to park your car at hotel to unload bags you will be moved on and made to use paid parking. We had transport booked to airport on Australia Day and it was almost 40 deg, staff told us traffic is too busy and we had to walk with all our bags to airport in the heat.  Stayed here a few times now and hope I don't have to spend another night here. Good coffee at bar when someone is there to serve you I feel like the hotel has become very money minded with cutbacks jacking up prices without service or quality to match.

The Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport is a perfect place if you just want to crash for the the night. It's an old hotel so it has nothing fancy to offer. The hotel is maintained very clean and the very helpful and polite staffs.
