After a long trip from London to Melbourne and being too late at night to get a Skybus to the Peninsular last bus to the Peninsular was before my plane arrived and first bus in the morning is at 7.45 am I decided to stay at the Ibis @ Melbourne Airport. It was only a short walk and was well signposted. I was able to get a room, as I hadn't booked. The staff that were on that night and the following morning were very helpful and polite. I had everything I needed in the room, comfortable bed, coffee etc. Room was clean, Shower was great, nice hot water. I would stay there again, it was great. Thank you.
Loved the quaintness of this hotel so close to the airport.nThe rooms were spotless and very nice.nThe cleaning staff did a thorough job of cleaning. We saw them cleaning other rooms and were impressed.nThe dining area was in the same area as at the reception desk.nVery very friendly place
The booking system recorded the wrong check-in time. Although I already paid for the room, I couldn't check in due to this error. The hotel refused to reschedule, even though they knew I had paid and there were still rooms available. I can't believe they would rather make a customer pay for another room due to their booking mistake instead of arranging an empty room for my stay. Thanks for letting me spend the night on an airport chair.
The cheapest of the hotels at the airport. It has the necessities. Note there is no lift! No problem if you're able bodied. Otherwise request a ground floor room. It is a short walk to the terminal. There is a McDonald's around the corner with better options in the terminal. The room itself is small but has everything you need.
Don't mind the small room.nDon't mind the small shower.nPaid budget so expected what l got.nBut did not expect a large mattress on a very small base so mattress hung over at the bottom making me feel like I was sleeping on an incline. Mattress was very hard and uncomfortable.nVery disappointed.
