I recently had flooring installed by Harvey Norman, and their team was paid to move our furniture. There was no communication about protecting the furniture, which led to significant dust and damage. The contractor used our Dyson vacuum on the recliner, which was full of dust from their work, resulting in the vacuum burning out. We also discovered a hole in the recliner, likely from mishandling during the move. To make matters worse, our brand-new deck was stained with leveling compound, despite specifically reinforcing the importance of careful handling. A blanket was left under dust in the toilet, and the hybrid timber flooring didn’t match the sample we were shown. Additionally, three toilets were left inaccessible because furniture was moved into the bathrooms.nnI purchased a double seat recliner from Harvey Norman on April 21st, and I’m extremely disappointed with the entire experience. When I reached out to clarify the damage caused by the contractors, I was told to contact the flooring department and the contractor, as they all operate independently. This response is frustrating and completely unsatisfactory.nnAs long-standing customers, we expected much better care, communication, and customer service. Instead, we’ve been left with a series of unresolved issues, poor responses, and unnecessary inconvenience.
Sold the dream and delivered a nightmare.nnFlooring department led by Fazlul is extremely unprofessional & says absolutely anything to get the sale - then under delivers and back tracks on what was discussed & agreed. One of the most non-genuine people I have ever met.nnFull of defects, poor quality & contractors requesting payment prior to installation.nnFrom carpet being laid over redundant vents that now have air pockets & movement, no trimming where carpet meets tiles/flooring, hybrid flooring having gaps between plank joins, over cuts in planks where they have tried to pre-cut; don’t think they have ever heard the term “measure twice, cut once”
I would like to give a huge appreciation to Jayden L from the electronics section for his excellent service.nAs soon as we arrived at the store, he greeted us warmly and asked what we were looking to buy.nJayden checked the stock, clearly explained everything about the products, and offered us the best price.nWe were also pleasantly surprised to receive a gift card for our second purchase during checkout!nnOut of all the stores we’ve visited, this is the only one where we’ve met a staff member who is truly honest and sincere in serving customers.nIf you’re planning to buy any electronics, I highly recommend this store — and don’t forget to look for Jayden L near the entrance!
My wife and I bought an expensive new bed mattress today from Harvey Norman Moorabbin. We always find staff very professional. Today was no exception. Our staff member Lisa was an exceptional sales person. Lisa simply explained what she thought we needed to know. We were so impressed Lisa did not do a sales pitch but answered our requirements politely and simply. Harvey Norman are very fortunate to employ such a professional person and customers like us a grateful for her patient assistance. Thank you Lisa, Patricia/Peter Draper Brighton.
