Yesterday I dropped Samsung J5 Pro and the screen stopped working properly, hardly anything can be seen. The phone is still operational but very difficult to use. Decided to buy new phone from Harvey Norman Moorabbin, my regular store. Called my service provider ALDI Mobile who said to make sure that the phone I will buy is compatible with ALDI Mobile service. I was advised to go to the store and ask salesperson to provide me with IMEI number, call ALDI and give them the IMEI number in order for them to be able to confirm that the phone is suitable BEFORE paying for the phone to avoid costly disappointment. I knew I could rely on Harvey Norman Moorabbin, as they have very nice and knowledgeable salespeople and I bought a lot of items from them. Called the store and was connected with Liam, a salesperson. He said that he will supply IMEI number for ALDI. Went to the store. Liam showed me the phonesnwithin my budget, explained all the details and provided IMEI not for one phone, but for 2, just in case. Then he located ALDI customer service number and helped me to dial ALDI from my broken phone not an easy task. Then he spent considerable amount of time with ALDI support to make sure that they provide correct advice on which phone model I should buy to avoid paying over $120 to $340 for a phone which will not work with mobile plan. Finally, we were able to pick the phone that was confirmed to work with ALDI Mobile. After I paid for the phone Liam volunteered to replace the SIM card and reconnect the service to make sure everything works properly. It did.nJust like the other members of his team at Moorabbin store - very professional, well above and beyond his duty. I will be back for more purchases and recommend this store to others. Thank you, Liam, and all the best with your work.
I rarely leave reviews, especially positive ones, but Sam at Harvey Norman Moorabbin truly deserves recognition. His genuine helpfulness, communication skills and knowledge in providing me all options was exceptional. He patiently explained the features, answered all my questions, and never pressured me. Sam's genuine and helpful approach made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. He's a credit to the store, and I'll definitely be back because of him. Thanks Sam!
Had a not so good product experience bought from HN. Exchanged it for a new machine, same issue. Ultimately returned device for refund. A bit troublesome to work through the admin but Veena provided great customer support and empathy in the situation.
