Oamaru is such a lovely town and it is one of the biggest highlight during my road trip in New Zealand! Visiting the Harbour Street Bakery is like a must from all online itinerary. We followed and we met the prettiest barista who gave us a bright, cheerful smile! I plucked up all my courage to ask for a photo. Thank you for agreeing despite your busy work!nnLove from Malaysia
Nice looking bakery, but the custard donuts were a bit too sweet for me! The store clerks are very attentive and enthusiastic. We have reserved cinnamon rolls and chocolate bread for tomorrow! Hope it tastes good
The cronuts are famous for a reason. And the pies!! Take a knife and fork, they are a meal in themselves. We also get a loaf of the black sourdough whenever we visit as it is so good. Everything here is delicious and fresh.
People recommend the bakery because they have the best pie maybe.nWe didn’t try the pie, we got the bacon roll and sourdough.nThe roll is ok, not great though. The sourdough is kind of hard to tell. Not bad, but different from what I understand.nThe coffee is little blend to me, too much milk for flat white.nBut the staff there are really friendly, and the uncle is really cute nOnly bakery on the street, I think anyway the pie is worth to try.
Such a cute bakery, the staff was so welcoming and they have the best veggie pie! It was soo good and very filling as well. 10/10 recommend when in Oamaru :
