Reviews

A simple cafe which produces excellent coffee and breakfast. The pancakes were light and fluffy with lots of banana, walnuts and caramel sauce. 
The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and the bacon rashes were just right. Egg yolks were thick and deep yellow - fresh and grass fed.
We would go back just for the pancakes. Black coffee was served with hot water on the side without asking. 
The Roost provided the best breakfast we have had in 12 days in NZ.

My daughter loves their Macroni cheese. We had a nice chat at the Roost and the arrangement of sitting table make you feel that you are able to have a private conversation with some good coffees.

The coffee here is very good. The food choice in the cabinet is okay - for a hungry visitor.  Staff regularly seem a little reserved here.

Very clean, quiet, can stay as long as you like, seating outside, friendly staff, good selection of food.
