Says they have gluten free options when really they just have gluten free bread that they offer with some tomatoes. Menu is small. Really only a coffee and smoothie place.

Sadly Steam is not now our always stop at place in Oamaru. The service has changed to downright rude and certainly incompetent. The coffee is not as good and the food average but really it was the service that appalled us. The coffee order we made was change by the hound woman barista because she simply decided that is what wS a better thing to give us and then when we questioned what we were given she did not offer an apology but spoke very arrogantly and sulkily went away to alter what she had brought. We were not the only customers at the time to receive this kind of amazingly awful and rude service. She made errors with two other orders while we were there and spoke insolently to the people involved. Nope. We will not return.
