We had a fantastic breakfast at The Galley, definitely recommend.nI had the bacon buttie which was great pictured and my wife had the eggs on toast.nnGreat setting and lovely outlook with very friendly service.
Outstanding breakfast!! Hidden gem by the beachfront. Good coffee, and delicious well seasoned breakfast.nnWe have the Banana & Bacon Pancakes, but my favorite was the Avocado Loaded Toast, which I upgraded with an extra poached egg and in-house Smoked Salmon. Very very tasty. Portions amazing and staff super friendly and attentive.nnDefinitely my place to have breakfast when I return to Oamaru.
During our holiday we had prepared most of the meals ourselves. But at Oamaru we decided to give ourselves a break for once and indulged in a hearty local brunch. The Galley is walking distance from our overnight spot so that's where we headed to.nnFood and drinks came up to NZD60+ for the both of us, so we might have gone overboard on the indulging bit. But the food was good, my wife especially liked the soup of the day - potato and bacon soup. And since it wasn't packed, we picked a table by the windows. Nice food, nice view. There are fewer better ways to start the day.
Excellent food service and lovely location. Awesome views of the harbour / Bay.
Fantastic wee spot right on the harbour. Great food and coffee with quick service.
