Just picked up my ex-demo 2022 Kia today, A big thank you to Glenn and the team for such a straight forward experience. Don't take your car here to get any diagnosis or repair work. I took my 2013 Holden Barina here to get a knocking noise and a code 89 that was coming up on the dash looked at, it turned out that code 89 was related to the thermostat housing that was cracked. They told me my car had these problems: Inner and outer tie rod ends worn. Rear shock absorbers are worn. Lower control arms are split. Front strut top mounts have collapsed. Going by that list you'd think my car was bouncing all over the road and been horrible to drive, however it drove completely fine it was just making a knocking noise. Saying things are worn I feel is just saying its used not in dire need of complete replacement. The cracked thermostat I was already aware of as I had taken it to an auto electrician the day before, I had told them that when I dropped the car off, I didn't know that code 89 related to cooling system issues I have replaced the housing and the code is gone. Gibbons told me it was going to cost around $5000 - $6500 to repair and replace parts genuine Holden parts. They also said they'd email me a quote for 3rd party parts which I never received. I took it to another mechanic, the knocking noise was just some loose bolts which they tightened, replaced the thermostat housing, and a hose, it has been about 2 months now and the car has been driving perfect, it only cost me $700.
