A great hotel in an central location. Staff were super friendly and really helpful. Rooms were equipped with a small sink, fridge and wardrobe. Budget price, great value for money. Only two beds in the 'dorm' and I had the room to myself. Comfortable linens. Well equipped kitchen, well set up for guests. A common TV area with lounges, dining tables and TV. Great views from the common area. Located upstairs from a pub. Quiet, I didn't hear any noise from downstairs. Great security with exterior entrance as well before you reach your room.nI thoughourly enjoyed my stay here, and staff made me feel really welcome. Loved it.
Stayed for 2 night during our Devonport stay.nThe lady at the front desk was very welcoming and kind and let us check in a bit earlier than the usual 2pm check-in which was nice. Located right near the spirit of Tasmania Port, was really cool to see the ships go by.nThe room was clean, comfortable and quiet at night. Walking through the hallways can make a bit of noise, but we weren't bothered by that. The housekeeping staff were very friendly.nWe ate the first night in the restaurant. Didn't make a booking but they had no problem fitting us in. I had the lamb chops which were cutlets, on a bed of parsnip puree, baby carrots and broccolini. The dish was lovely!
Great location in Devonport for shopping or for catching the Spirit.nBeds are comfy we were in a family room.nI dont recommend staying here if you have young kids, as you are located on top of a bar. Live music Friday and Saturday nights and, the usual bar shenanigans.nThere is no disabled access either.
Stayed for 3 nights and at the cost per night did not have high expectations. Was very pleasantly surprised to find a super clean room, comfy bed, air con, obviously recently? refurbished. Staff are very obliging with any request. Dining room offers a good selection and choices we made on the menu were excellent.
I post hotel reviews on my ig: bevotheexplorernnThe place had a great view of the Devonport port and of the Spirit of Tasmania. I was super happy with it. The room was clean and bathroom was great. Overall great experience for the price. Solid 3.5 stars
