What has happened to the menu at The Gateway? The first thing we noticed was the change in menu which is now like a pub meal you can get anywhere. We missed the beautiful selections which have been available. One of the reasons we attend the Gateway very regularly for a meal is that the hotel and the food are NOT 'pub like'. The food was nice but please consider reintroducing the lovely menu selections previously available as the 'restaurant style' menu was the draw card for us. For us all that has been achieved in this change is an increase in choice of venue where we can get a burger or Chicken Parmigiana! We wonder why the change?

We found this the most uncomfortable. The bed was hard, the floor had more flex. The window was either rattling closed or open. Eftpos out of date, did not support NFC mobile, made to feel inadequate for not having a card handy.

Nice mature environment. Cider bar is sophisticated. Clean and trouble free. A wonderful stay.
