Fitness First Bayside

The gym used to have good service and friendly staff. The current staff on reception are to busy using there phones to say hello or goodbye. The locker rooms have multiple lockers that are broken. It seems every time I go in there is another one not working. The gym is messy. Weights are rarely put away. They have a pool which members used to be able to use at any time the gym is open but now it is only available for certain times and has 1/3 of it unavailable so its nearly impossible to swim there. Most mornings there is a queue outside as the management running the gym would prefer their customers to wait outside in 5C weather than go in 5 minutes early. The receptionist however can wait inside in the warmth. This gym used to be a busy thriving place. Over the last period of time it is getting quitter and quieter. I wonder if the management will be able to work out what the issues are.

Great place. Big gym area. Pool is shared with a teaching company, but it s generally OK most times.

Been a member for many years. The facility is ok, service and cleanliness is poor and has been that way for most of that time. No-one cares! It's down to poor management. It wouldn't take much to make a massive improvement if you had good management. I rate it 2 based on the service.

I love Bayside Fitness First, but when my brother came for a casual pass and bought his 10 year old daughter to go in the Playcentre the female receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful to him. He said he was grateful that everyone else there was nice and kind, including the male staff member who helped him fill in the guest pass and let his daughter in the play centre. But the bad customer service from the one staff member really put a damper on the whole experience after I talked the gym up to my brother before hand.

Top class with friendly staff and plenty of parking space :) feels like home
