I just went to the cinema to watch Thor in Cinema 7 with my wife for a whopping $19 a ticket. As usual the cinema has a horrible musty smell. My wife came out complaining about being bitten all over while watching the movie. Does the cinema have a bed bugs infestation? We will have to disinfect our clothes.... In addition to all this, a trio of feral patrons had their feet up on the head rests of the seats in front of them. An usher walked passed them and didn't tell them to put their feet down. This is a very poorly managed, under utilised excessively expensive cinema. That was likely the last time I will go despite the convenient location. Halve the price, clean up the seats, triple the patronage and have a more profitable cinema that we can enjoy more.

This place is basically a scam operation to overcharge you for snacks and drinks, let alone the movie costs. I received a voucher for event cinemas and it reminded me why I prefer to attend other, much more reasonably priced cinemas in Brisbane. 

$6.90 for a Pepsi I had to pour myself? Is the CEO aware of this rort? This should be a reportable crime. I told the poor girl behind the counter no thanks I'll just smuggle one in. 

Cinema was decent and seats had s good view, but with a bit of a musty smell.  2 stars because it is fairly well organised with good facilities.

Great cinema, the competition down the road has better seats and prices though Event is very convenient, close to nearby shops where you can buy food if you have enough sense not to blow $6 on a slushie when they are $1 downstairs. Great atmosphere, hip internal coffee shop, awesome decoration.

Nice friendly staff. But $36 for 2 tickets and the cinema looks and smells dated, I'll just go to Southbank and get better cinemas for less than half the cost... with free parking....

Overpriced with no means to contact the cinema directly. The only reason I went out of my way to go here was to see a film in 3D. When I needed to query something an automated phone response advises you leave a message on their website. For $25 per ticket I would expect better customer service. Not going to BC&C cinemas again when there is so much other quality competition for half the price.
