Story

Entrecôte is a French style steakhouse & bar overlooking Melbourne's magnificent Botanic Gardens in South Yarra, the bébé of collaborators firmly inclined to the French steak frites tradition.

Sitting opposite Melbourne's beautiful Botanic Gardens and metres away from the Melbourne tram Domain interchange on St Kilda road, a leisurely walk from the CBD.

A French style breakfast menu running all day 'service continue' from 7am 'til 3pm and the dining room opening at noon to do its meaty thing -right through 'til late.. every single day of the year!

Beautiful place and decor, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast of folded eggs and goats cheese. Excellent quality but serving size is perhaps too generous, we did have room for lunch. Coffee was very good.

Food is good .. but service is not. Twice I have waited outside for 10-15 minutes to be seated (mid week) only to be ignored by all staff. It’s a shame because food is good but I won’t be going back in a hurry.

Good food. Not quite conducive to taking pets. The staff are sort of ok with pets but the set up is too tight that waiters do not have a clear path when pets are around. I have 2 small dogs.

Coffee review only. Generally quick service. Coffee quality varies alot. Little quiches from the coffee hut out back for foot traffic is good. But coffee generally boiling hot and mostly undrinkable if you enjoy a good coffee. Regardless it's always busy for passing foot traffic.
